What can younger drivers do to stay safe on the roads? Word has it police are launching a program aimed at making our parkway here safer for young drivers. It uses social media to explain to young motorists how driving on a toll road is different. Eleven of the 16 deaths on the parkway between January and September involved drivers in their 20s. Do you know what the statistics are there on any given road like this? Is it any worse or better? Any input appreciated.

I actually don't have any idea about that but actually there are only two reasons of why the young drivers can have an accident or worst case they will die. It is either they were just new so of course they were still practicing then it happens that they went to the wrong way. Or it is because some are arrogant enough because of the over speed that crosses their limits.

Many say younger drivers are high risk, but here it is middle aged especially woman. Out of the 6 accidents I have been involved in (none my fault and seeing me as 24), they were all middle agred woman with a bunch of screaming kids in the cars. They actually have a commericial here or did, stating this, that it's not the younger drivers, but those *more experienced* who think they are more experienced, and don;t consider the dangers.

Wow. The biggest thing is probably DRINKING & driving - and also distractions like cell phones. I can't think of two things that are more distracting/detrimental to unsafe driving. I can't see what police can really do for this, though?
