The Principal's notorious grandson

When I was in grade school, I had this classmate who is very obnoxious and he fights with anyone, and gets very low grades. He even answers back unpolitely to the teachers. He was the grandson of the school principal, so he can never be expelled. One day, a teacher who got so full of his naughty deeds, brought hot chili and rubbed it on his mouth because he was so noisy and won't stop talking even after a few warnings. I think that teacher was let go by the school administrator. Although, the student was really being naughty, it still wasn't right for the teacher to do what she did.

Hi! Thank you for bringing up this discussion. I'm a school principal's son but I was not like that child you were talking about. I tried to maintain my grades and be good at school. Well, sometimes I could not avoid to argue with my teachers but all of those arguments were related to the subject of the class. Children these days are so different, they are impolite, naughty, undisciplined, and other unpleasant attitudes. These are some reasons why they are being sent to school. The parents also need partners to help impose discipline to their children and this partner is the school. The teacher who did that to that was maybe so tired of that obnoxious child. But professionally, that was a very wrong move by the teacher.

Your mother must have been so proud of you. You have not embarrassed her, at all. Yeah, the teacher was being unprofessional and she could have been sued for doing that to a minor.

Haha I also have a lot of flaws like other but my parents understood me and just kept reminding me about how to be good. They always taught that when I do bad things, it's not only me that is being looked down but the whole family. So I always put this in my small brain.

That's right. For any good or bad things that we do, our family's name and reputation is also affected. So, better make them proud!

it can be very frustrating when you cant deal with a child who has no manners because he is a relative to some senior person, i dont think what the teacher did was good but i like that the teacher taught that kid a lesson.its very disrespectful to a teacher when he cant control a child supposed to take orders from them.

That's true. That teacher must be confident of her skills that she didn't worry about the possibility of losing her job.

Nowadays what that teacher did would be classed as child abuse for sure. Discipline does need to be installed in schools but the teacher sure went way over the mark doing that, that is also humiliation. I remember when I was at school, my music teacher humiliated me and made me stand up in front of the class with a recorder, he knew damn well I couldn't play the recorder but he still made me do it. We had the cane in enforcement when we were at school to punish anyone who stepped out of line, just the thought of it was enough not to misbehave.

If I were the principal, I would have suspended or expelled that teacher. It was never the right thing to do for anybody to humiliate and punish the child that way.

What I don't understand when you said he could not be expelled. I mean whats the difference of embrassing the principle with him getting expelled or tranishing her name/character with his behavior... But beside that I am sure the teacher was fired and she should have, despite the student acting like he was she had no business hot chili or anything else in his mouth..Suppose he was he had some sort of allgeric reactions to that and was hospitalized or even worst... Teacher and all of us need to think sometimes before making decisions like that...

You got a point there, but in that school, there's a lot of politics. I just realized it now that I'm older. With the low grades and very bad manners, any student could be expelled, but not him. The principal was quite protective.

Well done to the teacher, but I think he should have rubbed some hot chilies on the child's parents' mouths too! I am sure they know what a horrible child they had, and he should have received his discipline from them. What a weak principal too!

The teacher was really bold about doing it to this infamous kid. You're right, the parents should have done a better job disciplining their son.
