What's hurting - Panda or Penguin

I was thinking of earning some extra bucks with the help of my blog. But it is getting more difficult with each passing day. I came to know that the dip in the traffic is due to the new release of the Google policies like Panda and Penguin. But as usual, I am writing my articles as I used to before these algorithms came into place. I didn't nothing different. Then how come I am still suffering from the losses. When I am putting up fresh content, why should Google decrease my views? Any light on this issue?
