Well, I had the best of intentions. I meant to wrap all the kids presents while they were still in school. But, again this year I did the same thing I do every year – I procrastinated until the last minute, and guess what, nothing is wrapped! Next year I swear I will wrap everything before the kids are off on vacation. So, now I have to scramble and figure out how to wrap up four children's worth of presents in about two days. And, on top of that I have to make all of the Christmas cookies and fudge as well. I don't know why I do this to myself every year but I do. Well, off to work! Have a great day, Happy Holidays, and happy myLotting!!!

I totally sympathize! I remember when my kids were young..with all I did at Christmas time, I would sometimes have the time to wrap but was so tired or overwhelmed that I just was not motivated and let the time slip away. Now, as someone else suggested, you'll have to get up early or stay up late. Or trade with another mom, put all your presents in sealed boxes and take them to a friend's house to wrap. Or you could even put them in Hefty black trash bags and put bows on them, etc. That's quick and the kids can't peek if you tape the openings closed--I did that one year and apparently one of the boys tried to peek but found that he couldn't without tearing the bag and leaving proof that he peeked! It's fast and easy.

This is exactly the same thing which is happening to me. We all are becoming so absorbed now a days we don't have time to enjoy and become happy in little things.Christmas and New Year is a time when we have to give gifts and share happiness and peace with our near and dear ones.

wow, schulzie, maybe you can enlist your kids help with the baking and fudge making. my kids started baking cakes at around the age of 10 or 11. i hate wrapping early because i always forget whats in the packages. however, i started wrapping in late November just because i knew i would end up like you which was a good thing because this week i have been suffering from bronchitis which makes it challenging to even get off the couch!

I haven't wrapped the presents yet, but then since I live alone, no one will see them anyway. I think I am done, but I might buy one or two more, but I will get them this weekend, probably on sunday. I hate going out on Christmas Eve, as it is so crowded, but sometimes I end up doing that. I am hoping I don't have to this yer. I don't have but a few to buy for, so it doesn't take me long to get them at all. Now, if I would just stop procrastinating, and get them wrapped. I more than likely will do that on Sunday, so they will be done, as my ex husband is coming on Christmas Eve and I don't want him to see his until I am ready to give it to him. We are going to our son's on Christmas Day to spend the holiday with thim our daughter in law, and the grand children. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a blessed New Year.

It happens to me as well. But at least you have the presents with you. I, on the other hand, tend to buy the gifts only a few days before Christmas. Happy Holidays!

I hope by this time you were able to come up with an idea on how to wrap the gifts without the kids noticing it! I also share the same dilemma since I also don't have time co'z I'm always busy. What I did just to come up with the gifts wrapped on time is I woke up at dawn just to wrap them! My kids were surprised when they saw the gifts under the Christmas Tree!!! Happy Christmas!

Man, how many presents did you get those four kids? Hopefully, it won't take you too long. I can't remember how long it took my parents. And only my mom ever wrapped them. But she just had two kids. I hope you guys have a good Christmas. I imagine getting all the baking done is the hardest part!

We just know you will find a way. I am ready except for baking banana bread which is part of my son's gift. Every year I bake him several loaves...it's his favorite. We are having our Christmas tomorrow....and I also promised him a custard pie. So today I'll clean...and bake and by tomorrow night my Christmas will be mostly over! I can really relax and spend Christmas day doing something I love to do....like watching movies and stamping.

I wrapped a few presents when my son was home the other day they were for my nephews and neices. I havent wrapped any of my kids presents yet. I need to go shower and get off my computer and start wrapping but I'm so tired I dont feel like doing it. I wont have much time so I really need to do some each night or I will be up all night on christmas eve doing it.

I wait to wrap every year too. Usually it is a Christmas Eve wrapping bonanza at my house. I am planning on doing mine tonight in the "man cave" downstairs. Wish me luck!
