Armed Police Officers in Schools

The NRA has proposed that armed police officers should patrol the hallways of every school. What are your thoughts?

What is the alternative? No security at the schools? What will stop these people from shooting innocent children in the schools? What is your solution? It is easy to criticize a solution, but do you have a better solution?

If there is no other option I guess it's the only way to have more safity. It's a pity it did come that far in schools, they are not safe anymore.
