There are lots of left overs in the ref. So I decided to fry the left over rice and mixed the left over beef steak and newly cooked egg omelet. Wish my children, great niece and nephew will like it.

I try not to waste any food, as it costs so much. Ihad some rice earlier fried up with some oyster sauce on it. I will then fry the rest tomorrow before heading to work and have it for lunch.

We have superstition regarding food. According to our old people, one gain of cooked rice is equivalent to a sack of rice which we have to pay. Meaning we will become poorer by that value of rice that we waste.

I totally agree, food is expensive when you have to pay for it out of pocket. Your idea of frying the rice in oyster sauce sounds really tasty!!!

We eat quite a bit of rice here, and we have fried rice and pepper stir fry on the menu this week. I love to season it with Braggs nutritional yeast. We also had rice tonight. I made a mock meatloaf brown rice, quinoa and egg whites. My daughter loves it, so the leftovers will be gone tomorrow afternoon. Rice is such an economical food that we eat it often.

Quinoa is a small grain, the size of a seed (think mustard seed) and it's texture is much like rice. The flavor is also pretty bland but it mixes well with other foods.

I am also not a frequent consumer of fried rice, because I felt it is too greasy to eat that eating an ordinary rice with my usual favorite viand of fish soup. The fish must be Lapu-lapu to insure it has omega 3 on its meat.Eventhough I love to make some arrays of different kinds of fried rice,I seldom eat it.My relatives and friends like to eat my fried rice, because they are used to consumed it when visiting me,with their favorite viands from my assortments of preparations. For my own self,I am just contented with my vegetables and fish viands.I always consumed lots of fruits or whatever is the season.I am conscious with my diet.

Yes, there are lots to do with left over rice but I don't eat fried rice. I sometimes make fried rice if there are lots of left over rice so that it will not be wasted. I just smell what I've done. It's weird of me. I really don't know why, but I guess I have eaten fried rice in not more than 5x as far as I can remember. I remember there was one time when I visited my aunt and they just had fried rice for breakfast. I had no option but ate a little just to have something in my stomache.

For me, I just don't know why I don't eat fried rice but as far as I can remember, this has been what I feel since childhood. I just can't explain. I guess it's almost in born.

I like fried rice. Have you tried to taste osh or persian rice. They are like fried rice but the preparation was so toxic to do it.

I like fried rice very much! I eat more than what I normally consume each meal when fried rice is there. Especially when it is mixed with potato, carrots, an egg or ground meat. Now I'm hungry!

In our house, my daughter and I don't eat fried rice. Only my husband and sons eat. I do cook fried rice for them sometimes.

Pahak, fried rice is one of my favorite food, when we have leftover rice. I would fried it together with some meat, prawn, eggs and some veggies. It is very tasty and yummy. Hope you have a happy holiday during this special festival.
