relationship with your neighbors? / myLot

Hey guys, whenever we stay it is always important to have a cordial relationship with our neighbors because whenever would be in trouble they are the first whom we can contact so that they will come to our rescue and this is possible only if we have a good relationship with them. I am going to share an interesting story in this regard. Once when our backyard was being cleaned, some leaves fell into our neighbors backyard and they informed us that they are feeling uncomfortable due to this and that the work should be done properly. We did not say anything and gave them a smile only. Some days later, one of their trees was in a titled position whose leaves and fruits were falling constantly in our backyard. But we did not say anything to them. The very next day they discovered that their tree was titled and still we had not said anything about the same and they realized their mistakes and adjusted the tree and as a goodwill gesture, gave us some fruits to us. ha ha ha. What are your opinions regarding this? U had any such experience? How is your relationship with your neighbors? Please do share your opinions!

I am with you in all the respect. Really neighbors are close relatives. They are the first and nearest to us to come for our help when we need, so one should always have good relations wit them as far as possible. My wife was caught in bathroom. She had a faint and she fell down with a loud scream. We all rushed towards bathroom but it was closed from inside and she fell down exactly behind the door so we were unable to cut the door to take her out. But one of our neighbor solved this problem very easily. He started cutting the door from upwards to downwards slowly and patiently. It took him a bit time to do it. We all surrounds were very very impatient and wife was screaming due to pains inside. But somehow he has managed to cut the door and really the picture was a horrible. My wife's head was exactly in front of the door. A little mistake and there would have been a mishap. But the said neighbor rescued us like a God. We will be grateful to him always and will be.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Oh my goodness, i cannot believe that this incident could even happen with someone. I was scared initially when i read your discussion and i think i do not have to give u any explanation regarding the importance of neighbors in our lives. Imagine what would have happened if that person would not have come to your wife's rescue on time. I think u should be grateful to that person and should vow to help that person whenever that person is in need. What say?

@Micmac- Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes his neighbor is indeed an angel who saved his wife at the right time. We need to have such people in our society who can understand and value the importance of neighbors in their lives. Even i was shocked initially and thankfully nothing serious happened to his wife and i hope such incidents are never repeated in anyone's life. What say?

This was really a good gesture from you. Yes having good relationships with the neighbors is really important specially when you are living in an apartment. As you said they are the nearest to respond when we are in trouble. We should ignore small issues if they strengthen the relationship with the neighbors as you did. Thankfully we also have good relationships with our neighbors and they also are very co-operative.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, we just wanted to prove ourselves without making any noises and we did that. I do not stay in an apartment, rather we stay in a community where we have so many houses around us. It is very difficult to strike a conversation with each one of them but whenever we meet any one of them we try to give a smile so as it stay in touch with them indirectly. What say?
