i was crazy for almost three days. i could not sleep and smile. I just put up a fake laughter so that my family won't worry. i smoked a lot. on the first day, i was just so stressed trying to deny this problem of mine and was outside, in the dark and a freezing temperature. i was just walking back and forth, i could not sit down or else i felt like my mind would burst. finally i got to calm down on the third day. i just pictured the worst case scenario that it would cause and tried to come up with a vague solution. i am calmer now but i still catch myself thinking hard randomly and getting depressed and feeling hopeless.

Seek some help - either through a church or in a clinic or just find someone you can talk to. It probably is better if the person is not a family member. Also, if you can cut back or stop smoking, that will help as well. Also, exercise helps. It really does your body good but also helps a person to just feel better. Find ways to think positive. Go online and look up and read positive and inspiring quotes. Just find something, even in small ways, that will cheer you up. A flower growing, a beautiful sunset, etc. Instead of pacing back and forth, go for a walk to find something that will uplift you. Just looking for something uplifting can uplift you. Also, volunteering and helping others helps to inspire and make people feel good about themselves. Just do something around the house, such as do some dishes. Water calms people and so, by putting your hands in the sink full of water and suds can calm you. Plus, you will feel better about yourself when you feel that you have value because you have contributed. Do a good deed. A good deed is doing something for someone else without letting them know that you did it. Take a breath and let it out slowly. Do this several times. And say to yourself, I am calmer, I am at peace.

My advice is not good advice but it's what I do. I suffer from anxiety & stress almost every other day. I have never really figured out how to properly deal with it either. My way is to pull away from everyone. I will close myself off in my room & keep to myself. People just tend to get on my nerves with their best intentions by pretending to know what I'm feeling, so that's the main reason I cut myself off from them.

I am not too sure if my response will help, but I can only speak about what I do. As a teenage I was diagnosed with severe depressed w/ psychotic features. I get anxious a lot sometimes. Yoga, meditation, and exercise is what helps me. I exercise daily and meditate or do yoga bi weekly. Meditation took ALOT of practice. But the way I look at it is habit. If I can create a habit of silencing my mind then I am good to go. It takes a lot of practice. I am also really spiritual. I beleive when I am depressed I am out of since with the earths/divine energy which I feel better once I meditate with my crystals and focus on the chakras. Have you tried an exercising plan? Excerising has been scientifically proven to help decrease issues such as depression, anger, anxiety, and so on.
