Is it possible for a man to sleep for just 2 hours and stay up energetic?

I don't know whether it is true or not, but I've heard that Davinci used to sleep 30 mins, for every 6 hours and became efficient

I have also heard of some localites sleeping for only 2-3 hrs and they stay all energetic whole day long. The best thing is that, they do a hell lot of work and they manage to do it all efficiently. I think it is all about tuning your body to certain timings and all. The people about whom I am speaking are all elderly people around 70s and 80s now and they have been sleeping for only 2-3 hrs everyday from their childhood. I guess it is all about practice. For instance, I can't manage to be active if I do not get a minimum of 6 hrs at least.

We are all human and our body clock has to function the correct time and hours. However, I believe that certain herbs may help us to stay energetic despite of lack of sleep. Still, nothing is better than to stay normal and have our eight hours of sleep and not to rock the boat with our body.

no it's not possible, to be energetic by sleeping just 2 hours, human brain needs rest to function effectively, when we give necessary rest our brain gains new energy and looks fresh, human body needs rest, other wise our eyes become red. Human should have a Sleep of atleast 6 hours for healthy life.

When I was in college, I did this five times a week for two months. I had 3-4 hours of sleep everyday and on weekends, I slept a normal 6-8 hours. I functioned well. In fact, that was one of the best semesters I had in my entire college life. I guess sleeping for a while in between the hours of the day works too. However, it works for some people only. I know of people who absolutely hate sleeping late and lacking hours in sleep and would not be able to function well if they had no sleep.
