Most of us, not only the younger ones are addicted to facebook account these days but also the older ones (the adults). Do you think that all of us regardless of races are following now what is trendy or fashionable, although the FB account is good only to teenagers? If that is the case, what a shame for the older ones! Is there a way for us the adult FB users to control ourselves using the facebook account? Anyway, FB account doesn't suit to our age now, we have to give the chance to teenagers to dominate FB. I think it is clear for everybody...this is what I mean about being addicted to FACEBBOK.

I feel that Facebook is much more accessible to people of all ages than Myspace and other social sites ever were. The restrictions to enter are a little higher; you are required to provide real information, and if you don't, it's very difficult to link up with anyone. Circles of friends and relatives can easily keep in contact, share ideas, images, etc. without the formality and extra effort of e-mail, and it's easier to even discover members of your extended family you may not have reconnected with. Compare the above with Myspace, which really was inundated with innapropriate and self-indulgent material... it was literally a teenage wasteland. People expect a degree of serious, careful behavior on Facebook because the social interaction level is higher. There are no masks.

Everyone both young and old alike are addicted to facebook. It is the site which helps people connect to each other and make new friends. We can also share our photos and videos on facebook. We can also play games if we feel bored on facebook plus there are different apps we can use that make our lives more simple using facebook. I am not a teenager and i still use facebook. I think school going children should avoid facebook as it will not make the active in their lives. They should go out and interact with other kids and have physical and mental health. Mostly i think it would be the college going students or teenagers who dominate facebook nowadays.

In my opinion facebook, is not intended only for teenagers. We have the right to used that site in any purpose. That social networking site is a good one to promote something and make some extra income.

Hi vlackat69, well...people have their freedom of choice to choose what they want to surf online. Regardless younger ones or adults, Facebook is a means for communicating with people and getting to know the updates of their friends and families especially if some are living overseas. As for me, i use to open Facebook all the time during my younger times. But ever since i get to know myLot, this has become my addiction when i online. Every time i online, i will surely open myLot. Seems more like i am addicted to myLot, instead of Facebook...

You bet, everyone who has access to internet has a facebook account, or accounts if you ask me. i think that people was even online last night and greeted everyone in facebook instead of calling each oother and greeting each other personally. I have not posted any Christmas greetings on facebook but i have sent them all a text messages.

I think Facebook can be for everyone, not just for the young people. You just have to have a shared interest. By the way, how many hours a day should one be on before they are considered addicted to Facebook or does that apply to going on Facebook every day even if it is just for a minute? I did wonder about addiction, and really when it becomes that when using Facebook.

I am not addicted to Facebook. But I think it's useful. I have got friends, relatives, fans added in there. I am glad that even elderly people are taking interest in social networking. Generally from my experience in real life, these people are resistant to technologies. They avoid computer because they think it's too complicated. People who have overcome this phobia and started adapting technologies deserve respect. This will facilitate free mixing of generations thereby reducing the generation gap to a great extent.

Hi, yes there are a lot of people now addicted to Facebook. Even about three years ago, almost everyone is playing Facebook online games. I am not so addicted to Facebook, I just visit it to check messages and to chat with my friends.

Hi. I don't see something wrong if older ones uses facebook. The thing I thanked Facebook enough is that it creates a bond and communication among loved ones who don't see each other often. I don't see my uncles and aunts overseas so I do't get a chance to see her. With facebook, I could see the latest happenings in their life like if they were having vacation somewhere else, if they had a new baby or new grandchildren. With facebook, I could relay any important message and greetings especially this christmas season, right? Facebook is not for teens. And I believe if its for teens, they would just use facebook in a wrong way. That's why it is creates for adults also.

I think people who only have a lot of spare time are the ones addicted to facebook...whenever I have spare time I message most of my friends, chat with them a few minutes, read some news from your subscribed page. Going out is much fun than facebooking all day :)

This is true. But it provides a great platform to express your views without hesitation. Things that can not be describe in open public easily be done in Facebook. FB reach is colossal compare to other offline sources. But it is a worrying factors that all age group stick long hours to the social site.

Facebook is one of the most used form of communication nowadays. I consider myself as one of the Facebook addicts. At first, I've created my account then got deactivated for the reason that I've no known friends within the facebook community. But when farm town got popular I've been addicted to it. That's the time I frequently use facebook until now. Most of the people worlwide use facebook, no matter if you're teenager or adult. It gets really addictive. Besides the features are great. On how to control addictness? Divert to other activity. :)

Hello there, although I am not a teenager anymore I am addicted to facebook :) My cousins and other relative are on facebook too though they are already in their 40's :) As for me, I keep on uploading new pictures, posting quotes and reading some of my friends wall post. Some of us makes Fb accounts as their way of communicating with friends and relatives who are here and abroad. Well I guess not only teenagers are on to facebook and so do the adults :) Happy Christmas :)

I feel that Facebook is much more accessible to people of all ages than Myspace and other social networks ever were. It's been an incredibly useful tool for networking, connecting with friends, extended family, and online colleagues, without the formality and effort of an e-mail. There are a lot of small things in life you can share as though you were talking to your social circles at the same table, and everyone likes to do that, regardless of age. As for addiction, I feel that this is a self awareness/ self control issue, on the same level as managing your weight. If your friends are offering cookies, and you're on a diet, take just one, or say "I can't do that right now". No one is entitled to give or receive more attention than can be afforded.

I am not addicted to Facebook. It has its ups and downs. It is a good way to keep connected, to friends all over the world. Its not a great place for kids to be though. I'm sure there are a lot of sick people lurking around. If you can keep close eye on your child's page, then I guess it would be okay. Facebook isnt my life, like it is to other people. Not everyone needs to know, what people are doing every minute of the day.

Hello there! I'm 36 yrs old but I have a facebook account. My son (cui_hezron) is right. It is the purpose of communication and recreation. It is nothing to humiliate about whether an old or not. Facebook serves as our connection of dealing people to our society. :)
