Celebrating on the Go

Once, when my then-husband and I were busy getting off from work, packed and on the road to spend time with my family out of town, we didn't have time for a private celebration of his birthday. So I borrowed a page from a movie, can't remember which one, and put a candle in a chocolate cupcake and sang him happy birthday while we drove down the road. How have you celebrated with someone special when you were in a hurry? Merry Christmas! :-)

Thanks for sharing this.I also came across a similar situation.Me and my wife were on train and moving from my native to may work place.I didn't even remember that the next day was my birthday and we have to travel throuhout the next day also.I went for sleep as I was very tired and exactly at 12 am she tried to wake me up but initially I was very irritated but when I opened my eyes I saw the cake and electronics candle above that and she was singing "happy birth day...."

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is absolutely great to hear that even though it was short but it was a memorable celebration that u guys savored that day. I think such small moments are very much special and it gives immense pleasure to the one with whom we are celebrating than celebrating in a large way. I had never done any such celebration but would love to have one such celebration in the future also. What say?
