Do these things actually have a purpose? There is something about them that is just funny to me but I'm sure they were made for something in particular as far as health-wise. Could you use one? Someone I know of got one for a gift for Christmas from their hubby, LOL. I think he really cares about her. I could use a humidifier from the same company, it might help me with my dry eyes at night. they absolutely drive me crazy some nights. My right one is especially bothersome.

I think it's a luxury thing, but wow, I seen a poster say the Japanese use it a lot too. Anyway nothing like a nice warm bum when you're going to the loo! Complete that with a BlackBerry or iPad or even a good old-fashioned book, the time in the bathroom will be as enjoyable as it is at the dinner table!

It's more comfortable and relaxing than sitting on a cold or lukewarm seat. It would probably help you to have more success at moving your bowels if you were constipated. I would imagine that it would also be nice for those times when we women are on our monthly periods.
While I've never owned one, I know that I sat on one once at the now-torn-down Glass House on the outskirts of Shepardsville, KY. I was ten years old and was just getting over the intestinal flu that I caught while down in the South.
That year, the establishment had these toilet seats installed where they were, between uses, up in this kind of cubbyhole getting sterilized.
When the seat was brought down, I could sit right on it without having to put paper down first, and the warmth of it felt comforting to my butt. If I had to have diarrhea, it was, at least, good doing so while being seated on a ritzy toilet!

I guess it is good for all those said reasons, I just never even thought of it. I'm not very spoiled with a cold seat all my life, LOL. I wouldn't be able to sit for too long anyways all the time cause someone always needs the bathroom here. Maybe other members of the family would like it more.

Wow yes I can understand how that must be when you sit on a cold and frozen toilet seat. I would definetly want one then. It is supposed to be only 20 degrees sometime soon and I'm not looking forward to that. It has been snowing in fact tonight and possibly now raining on top of it. Not good. That ugly time of year. But necessary so it kills insects and stuff so we don't have another invasion of those in the summer.
