What's A Toothbrush Good For Besides Brushing Your Teeth?

When I was little, one of the people who helped us with our spring housecleaning was a delightful senior citizen named Hazel Richards. One day, she gave us a cleaning tip: To get grime out of small places such as where parts of a sink spigot come together, use a toothbrush. Of course, you wouldn't be brushing your teeth with the same toothbrush after that. LOL Have you ever used a toothbrush in this way? Are there any other ways in which you might use a toothbrush?

In the Philippines, we use it as a chalk board eraser cleaner, to brush off the chalk dust. You can also use it to mix paint colors or a cleaner of window grills and staircase.

WOW!!! That's a number of great uses for this little tool!!! We used to clean our erasers by beating two of them together back when I was in grade school. The getting into small crevices is a lot like how Hazel Richards used them. Never thought of them as paint mixers. When you think about it, they could also be used as tiny paintbrushes in the case of some kinds of artwork. It would be fun for kids (and kids-at-heart, like myself) to make toothbrush painting an art project.

Since the dentist suggests that we should change a new toothbrush every three months. So you can use the old toothbrush to clean the tap, basin and so on. I often use it to brush the comb. At least the old toothbrush has a useful usage like that.

I hadn't thought of using it to brush a comb. Great idea! It's always good to recycle things whenever possible instead of simply throwing them away.
