I have called the police many times already over this guy STILL not being locked up and I have contacted the News Station too... Is there anything I am not thinking of that I can do to try to get this crazy guy behind bars where he belongs??

what did he do? i am just wondering because you can not just put someone locked up unless he does something wrong like committing a crime or he violated your rights. otherwise, the police will not act on your request. if he does, then the police has to act on your calls. justice delayed is justice denied.

If you read her other discussions, you'll understand.

Hi Hon, I just read all the other discussions and I can't believe this has happened to you and your family. This guy should be in a hospital getting some medication daily....a hospital with bars on it. I feel so bad for you and I really can't think of anything else you could do. I think you did the correct thing by calling the police and alerting them, but I have the funny feeling that maybe he's been arrested so often and let out, that they're tired of dealing with him. That's the only thing I can think of. Try the police chief and see if that helps. I wish you could move away from there.

Yeah this guy has harrassed us before just not this badly... He does this to all of the neighbors. We are trying to get him locked up but it seems the police just don't care. There are 2 warrants for his arrest and still the police have not arrested him even though I have called more than a few times telling them where he is! I am just hoping they arrest him before he really does kill us or someone else!

This just pi$$es me off so bad. I don't know what else the police want. There are a couple of news guys here in Cleveland who really go after anyone when justice is not served. Is there anyone on the news channels you could call and report what is happening? It might be the only way to get some action on your part. This guy really needs to be off the streets before something deadly happnes and I can't believe they are just ignoring the problem. Horrible.

I did call the news so I am hoping they might do something...They said they will get back to me so we will see I guess. The police here are an absolute waste of time honestly.

Why, is he still bothering you? I'd call a lawyer and explain the situation. Let him remove this headache from your life and ask him to go on a contingency-that way he can go sue everyone and somewhere the case will stick. And yes-that includes the police. Maybe the threat of a lawsuit (or possible bad publicity) will get them to do their jobs.

If he's not really breaking any laws there's nothing that can be done.

The magistrate said he DID break laws! He has 4 charges against him (all are against the law). Trespassing, Indecent exposure to a minor, Assault with a deadly weapon and Threatening Our Lives! So yes he did break laws and something SHOULD be done about it. The police here just suck and don't do their jobs!

His offenses might be bailable, so that must be the reason why he isn't behind bars. If he is reported to be doing the same again, then maybe there could be court trial.

It is a pity that you are preplexed by this guy during the holiday.I guess he is a habitual offender, who doesn't care to be put into jail.God bless, hope the police can really do something effective to stop him making trouble, and please try to calm down, you still have your hubby there, take care of yourself.Best wishes.

Yeah this is not a good situation at all. I wish the police would do something but they don't seem to care...

I am not sure how the state of command works in your country, but is there no one above the police you could contact, commissioner, governor or a body that can intervene in cases like this? This seems to be one big headache for you and your family, just because of a mindless idiot who has caused nothing but stress and aggravation. I really hope he is dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Local newspaper, and every single news station. Maybe if one doesn't cover it another one will.

Are calling 9-1-1 or a non-emergency number? When you tell them there's a warrant out for him, do you have a warrant number to which to refer?

Today I called the sherriff's department so the non emergency number since I don't want to get in trouble for calling the emergency number like that. They looked it up in the system and found the alert and I have paperwork that the magistrate gave us with all of the info on it!

Aside from beating him with a baseball bat, I don't think there is. Unless you call one of those news channels. Maybe they would push the police into going after this guy. Otherwise I would call your local councilman, and if need be, your local congressman. I would go all the way up the Governor.

I don't know. Maybe you need to contact the district attorney to press charges against him. It seems that the sheriff has to do his job. Maybe you could ask them when they plan on doing their job and picking him up.

We did press charges against him as well as the 2 warrants. I just don't understand it. If you or I did the same thing we would be in prison right now! But he just walks away... Makes no sense to me at all.

I think it depends on where you live and how the police is dealing with it. Over here it would not have any priority at all... unless you are killed (or nearly) they will show up or act, that's what they told me. Too busy with ...

Yeah that is what I'm thinking too, their too busy with other things that they really don't care until he actually goes through with his threat, then they will actually do something...maybe.
