God suffers for us; would you do the same thing?

If God accepted all the sufferings to save his people; then I can do the same thing, to endure the sufferings just to save my loved ones. It is a typical way of sacrificing oneself for them. How about you?

For my loved ones, probably; but Jesus didn't just suffer for loved ones. He suffered for all, those who love him and those who do not. I don't know if I would have that much love.

God came to earth as Jesus to suffer and die, not only to save his people from eternal punishment but to save ALL people. Jesus took the suffering for His people and yours as well. He IS the only one who can save us. You could accept suffering in order to ease some of the suffering of the people you love but you can't do it on the scale God did. I would suffer for my loved ones ONLY if I knew it would ease their suffering.

I'm sorry to disagree something, friend. Because it seems you misunderstood something about God. If we refer on the Bible God, did not suffer something only his Son our Lord Jesus Christ, suffer from the cross. Well, your purpose really great because you can sacrifice anything for the sake of your family.

If it would have been something that would have been possible for me to do, then I would have offered myself to have gone through cancer treatment instead of having my husband have to go through cancer treatment last year. However, this isn't something that is possible for people to do, so I just sat right beside him as he went through it all and tried to help him out as much as possible while he was going through his cancer treatments.

You can only take on so much for your family the rest will fall on them. They have to believe and trust in god themselves too.

It's a good question to compare ourselves to God and wonder whether we would also sacrifice ourselves for the people we love!

In Mark 10:45 it says Jesus did not come to be ministered unto but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many. As he is our example I think it is pretty clear we can minister to our famililes and our life can be an example that can encourage them to salvation. Acts 16:31 also says to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we will be saved, and our house. I take this as a promise for the salvation of my household as I trust in Jesus and live for him.

I was just saying this to my hubby today. That I would die for my two daughters or my three grandkids without a second thought. That is how much I love them all. I don't want them to suffer at all but I would take all the suffering from them with no problem.

Selfless love. That is what Jesus Christ did. He suffered to save his people. The interpretation on bible about Jesus Christ is not literally interpreted. I don't know other people. It is all about spirit. It means we should do what Jesus Christ did. He is the example. That is why there is a saying "I am the way, the truth and the life", but in a real world, we're not perfect at all. Mostly people here on earth is a gratification needs and there is what we called love reciprocate, but still, it does not mean we're all going to hell. We still have hope to enhance our spirit and be like him someday. It is not only in Christian, but all religions as well.

I would probably the same. Most especially if I know that it would spare any of my loved ones from harm.

I think that I would suffer for my love ones. There are many different ways that a person or group of persons can cause suffering. I would hope that I would be able to endure it in order to save my family. Family and close friends are very important.

No I can't iam not God I have can't tolerate such pain. I can just do simple things. I am frail and fragile. I can not be like God much as I wanted to. I can admit a sin I did not do if will be put in a room with two lizards inside. I can say Latin prayers in reverse if I will be hang over hungry crocodiles. So, I can just be what ever
