Do you stay young if you are always with kids and teenagers?

I got a comment from some of my cousins who are close to my age and they told me that it seems I never grow old in my looks. I just think that maybe it is because I am always with my high school students who are teenagers that is why I do not look very mature.Some people say that if you are always with the youngsters you also look the same as they are. Your talks and the manner of how you dress is just like them. To be honest, when I am with my students, I don't feel like I am near at my 30's. I do not feel old. But, whenever I am with my colleagues and classmates in my graduate studies I feel like I am very old and need to have my own family soon. What do you think? Do you feel same?

I think what you said makes sense. I have recently changed careers and went from working with young people to working with older people and I feel like I have aged rapidly... thanks for making me think! Hopefully my circumstances will be changing very soon and I will go back to looking young again ....

I think that as long as you are enjoying what you are doing and enjoying who you are spending your time with makes you feel young.There are times that I enjoy being with the youth but to be honest, with the kind of students I have now, there is never a day I will not preach inside a classroom or will get angry. Thanks God that not all of my students are naughty and stubborn. Good luck to your plan.

It is same with me. I would like to change my job too and look for opportunities in other country right away after I finish my Graduate studies. I don't want to remain a high school public teacher for many years. I hope that we can get what we want in the long run.

Hon, I am 31 and not married. I'm not ugly and I'm not dumb. It's just obviously not the right time for me to be married. I believe God will bring the guy for me into my life when the best time comes. And only He knows. Twenty-eight is not old. And if someone ever asks you again why you aren't married just tell them you guess you don't want to settle for Mr.-I-Guess-You'll-Do! You take your time. You don't want to rush into something just because others put pressure on you. Enjoy your time being single because someday you WILL get married.

That is a good question. I am 28 years old, the age which is considered as a marrying age. Almost everyone I know is getting married except me. People will always ask when will I get married or I should get married soon before it is too late. Those statements make me feel I am already old and should hurry being married or else I will be an old maid.

Well, maybe that is part of it, and a lot of it, is maybe you can stay looking like this, even when others might be envious of you even. I know that I look younger due to good genetics just like my Mom was. Do people believe I am in my late 40s now? Not unless I was to change quite a few things if I was single.

hi,
i think you could be young in terms of attitude and character but not in physical maybe in the way on how they wear clothes,like my sister,she already had a family but she would rather go with teenagers because she hates gossip like other wives do,so she also copied the attitudes of teenagers.

That's true! I had worked as highschool teacher for two years before I resigned. During those years, I felt so youthful and vibrant. There's something intoxicating with youth's vibrancy.

I feel that too, but sometimes it seems like I am running out of patient especially for those students who don't care about their education. Morever, I also feel disappointed when parents of these kinds of students just ignore their kids' behavior in class. So, what was the reason you resigned from your job? How are you in your current job? If given a chance, would you go back being a high school teacher again?

Some people call me young while others call me old. For my parents I am always their baby and my students tell me that I just look like them. Sometimes, when I am not wearing my uniform, some of them mistaken me as one of their classmates. I am not that tall and some of my students are taller than me. However, when it comes with my classmates in the university and my colleagues, I am always old and they are really pushing me to marry soon.

People's attitude turns different and relaxing spending time with kids and so do i.Maybe people would think much and wanting to build their own family,too.Cuz it's so nice and warm to stay together.Well,everybody's line is different and wish you enjoy what you've owned.

It depends on the person like everything. Some will stay younger while they are with those young people but others may not.
Its good taht you're feeling young while you spend time with them.

By looking at me, you can never notice my real age too. Being optimistic and always happy, it will make you look younger than with the same age bracket. I must agree, I do look young.

My brother had his children when he was not very young. With the result that they are still very young teenagers and he is turning 50. He tries his best to 'keep up' with them, but I can see that they sometimes wear him out...

Maybe in their eyes, you are mature but not old.But i believe that if we stay with kids, we will look younger than our actual age, because kids are so naive and pure,their thoughts and behaviors will have impact on us in some way. It is the same that if we are with adults or the elder ones, we will look older.
