computer and TV on at the same time...

Have you ever done this? It's quite early morning here so everybody is still asleep and I am facing the computer while the TV set is also on. My eyes and mind are online but my ears are listening to the hosts on TV. Is this possible? It is happening to me now. Without the TV on, it would be very quiet here because no matter how active we are online, we don't get to hear anything unless you hook yourself to some music or any videos on YouTube. But since I am on Mylot I can't do any of those so now I am Mylotting while at the same time listening to the commentaries on TV.
Have you ever done this before?

I have both of them on all day here. I usually turn tv on in my cafe to the cnn news channel. Then when kids come in I put on a disney movie or something. If Im alone on computers, I will put on law n order or another police show. Just a habit for me here...

Who says a man can't be a multitasker? xD
I don't watch TV anymore, not since EVERYTHING was translated to spanish. Goodbye subtitles. I may be from Argentina, but hideous voices and a terrible lip-sync makes me RAGE. That's why i only keep to my computer and videoconsoles.

Toooo funny! I always listen to the tv or radio when I'm online. I can't stand the quiet and need some company, so the tv usually does this.
I'm waiting for the tv to just die out because it's running for hours sometimes, including when I lay down to go to sleep. I do turn it off once in a while but not too much, and not for too long. I think I'm crazy, lol!

You couldn't imagine how happy I was to find someone else who is as crazy as I am, listening to the tv all the time, lol! Yes, we are the crazy one's here on myLot, hahaha!

Yes, I’ve done this several times. Most especially when I am in the morning and in a hurry and want to watch the morning news sometimes it’s rewarding to be multitasking LOL. It’s somehow hitting two tasks in one time.

Yes, I usually do this too. Have you heard about learning styles and different patterns regarding it. Like the audio, khinestetic and visal learning. May be you are an audio learner where you can or think best with the help of noise around you. So the sound from the tvon or from the YouTube makes and helps you think.

very interesting ! it is impossible for me do something both on TV and on Computer, becase I must focus on screen when I play game with earphone on computer;on the other hand, I must watch the TV screen, and can't leave it,because it play the live sports game, its my favorite.

Because I have no television, I use my big screened Apple Mac as my television, I have my Mac and my laptop on my desk, I sometimes watch my favourite soaps on 'catch up' tv online whilst I am working on my laptop. I also use it for Itunes, I tend to use my laptop more than my Mac. As I am typing, I have Itunes playing Enya. It's good to have 2 computers, they come in handy, especially when my Mac develops problems, I can rely on my laptop.

I do that most weekday mornings. I will have one of the morning "news" shows on and be in the other room working on the Internet. That way I can hear if some important are interesting story comes on and go in and watch it. Plus, like you, I like having some noise in the house.

I do that all the time. In fact, I like TV to keep me company. I see reruns of favorites shows while I mylot. I don`t need to pay much attention. I live alone so for me TV is important to hear voices

Hi..I have done this before when I have some favorite movie and some work they I have had both TV and computer switched ON and work and listen and watch it when my favorite scenes are played.

I do this often. there are even times that I have my computer playing music turned down very low while the tv is on and I surf the net on my kindle fire. I don't like a whole lot of noise sometimes so everything stays turned down low because I really don't like everything to be completely quiet. I rarely actually watch the tv unless something really really good is on tho.

I'm not very good at multi tasking and when I am on Mylot I like peace and quiet around me. The only time I recall doing two things at once was when I worked in a typing pool and we all used to talk to one another while we were typing. I have to say that we were all trained copy typists which meant that we did not need to read the manuscripts we were typing from, they somehow by passed our brains and went straight to our fingers, leaving us free to chat.

It is not possible for me to watch the television and also browse the computer at the same time. I have seen some of my friends doing this at the same time. I have some friends who also work and watch television at the same time. I think some people have the power of multitasking.

Only all the time! The only difference is that the volume is usually lowered on the TV.

I do this all the time I can't be online with any background noise as I just find it far to quiet.For example today I have been watching episodes of Castle I have recorded whilst posting on my lot with my tablet.If I'm not watching a TV show whilst I am on the internet I'll often listen to music.I find this is useful when I am on my lot as it speeds my typing up especially if it is a fast tempo song.Listening to music is probably the thing I do the most whilst on my lot.

Nice posting. I have not read the entire replies. But, I will, after this response. I did it so many time. Its an excellent way to spend time. I am an Insurance Adviser and most days, I come home for lunch around 3 p m. After Lunch, I used to sit in my laptop, duly switching on the TV set - music channel. And continue working on the laptop. Its an excellent feel.

I did this by putting hear phones and listening to songs, without a nice music I can't enjoy any work on internet it may be my weakness but I enjoy doing this and never get tired when I worked like this with songs.....
