I was shocked to read this a few hours ago where the Retired (US) General Norman Schwarzkopf who was instrumental in the driving out of the Iraqis in 1991 when they invaded Kuwait.
After the successful international coalition campaign (2000), he just disappeared from publicity and politics even. Last I remembered seeing him on the news was 2003 where he was not "confident" of the second Iraq invasion, saying that it would not be as easy as what the White House and Pentagon had predicted.
All of these just seems like yesterday and I am simply shocked that he has passed away in Tampa, USA. Time really flies when you do not notice it.
What's your impression of General (Ret.) Norman Schwarzkopf?

It is also a fact that unlike other retired army generals who would enter into either commercials or politics, he kept a low profile after his retirement, which explains not hearing about him.
He was really a great man and a good one too, considering what he had done for Kuwait with the coalition he led. I am sure the world especially the army had lost a great soldier.
