Belgium - to explore typical but real Europe.

My father has spent about two years of his life in Belgium. He liked Brussels, but he absolutely LOVED Liege. It's tiny town of 120 000 people, and it's an amazingly typical European town, like what we heard of before - small, everything is tight and close. But this is also amazing in itself because within the typical atmosphere of Liege lies old history, antiques, real artifacts from the past, museums and many more awesome and authentic things.
I remember how my father has been amused by the authenticity of Liege. He compared himself to people who like to go on vacations to the tropical sites. "What's in it for me? Just a beach and an ocean. I can't handle it too much, I get bored. Imagine a flea market in Liege - you can find all you want in there, and it would be real, not some kind of fabricated stuff. You can find a real musketeer-sword. One that is hundreds of years old. It would have its proper stamp, seal, certificate or whatever else of proof. There is nothing like that anywhere else int he world."
That is my father's view of Europe - authenticity of history, reality. Something that cannot be fabricated - uniqueness and test of time.
