Is it necessary for me to write a systematic document about management ?

Hi, mylotters, is there anybody who is a leader? I really need your help. I am a teacher in a college and I built a students team in my department called production - study - research. The team is about 70 members in it now and is growing. From the name, you can easily know that the team is involved in production, study and research. But there are so many conflict and problems now. Because this team is only two years, it is very immature. So now I am learning something about modern management methods and drafting a systematic document. Is it really necessary for me to do that? I don't know. I have no experience. And my major is mechanical manufacturing and automation which is unrelated with management. So, the process is really hard. Hi, my dear mylotters, what should I do now? Could you give me some suggestions?

I'm also a college teacher, though I've never taken the initiative to start a student group. Is the document for you or for someone else? What types of problems are you experiencing?

I am so glad to meet you here. The problems are very complicated. The documents are supposed to be instructions for all the teachers and students in the group.

I teach computers at the college. Sometimes I teach beginning computer users. I've had students that didn't know how to hold a mouse. We learn a little about everything. But mostly, just the basics of how to navigate the computer. I also teach about the Windows operating system, IT fields, system security, general things like that. I don't have the experience yet to teach programming, a language, or specific tasks like database. Privately, I teach students math and reading and all the rest. I'm considering switching to Adult Basic Education and teach things at the college similar to what I do privately. My boss assures me I can do anything that's offered in CIS, I just need to learn it. Haven't decided yet.

Yes, all alternatives should be written so that. You will know which is effective or not. It is easier to track progress and monitor failures or success moves for the future
