Is it bad to always be listening to people's problems? I have no problems listening, I enjoy it actually, but is it bad to keep listening to everyone's problems all the time?

No, it's not bad. You will learn something from them and they can vent out their feelings. However, if it's always a problem you're listening to, sometimes, you tend to absorb the negative energy. And it really drains you. So I guess you have to recharge sometimes so you can still help so many people just by listening to them. You can pray for them talk to other people sometimes with a topic of your choice and make sure to make it a positive topic so as to feel good.

Not really... i think many people just want to have someone to listen to their problems.. we are actually helping those people with problems i we listen to them sincerely.. but maybe it'll be a bit depressing to always listen to the bad stuff.

I see nothing wrong if people would go up to you and share their problems with you. But it is true that having to hear all those problems can make you feel depressed. And it may somehow affect your personal life in a way.

It is tiring sometimes. Even here in mylot, seeing discussion posted by a person about a certain topic overvand over again could be so tiring to read. You will notice that too as you get more active here. Yes it is tiring if a person ceaselessly complain about same thing and you keep on telling or suggesting things that might

I don't think it does the person who is talking nor the person who is listening any good if all the talker is doing is complaining, whining, whimpering, and just being negative. I have a neighbor who is just plain negative. He wants to tell me all about what he finds wrong with our neighborhood. I see a lot of good in our neighborhood, it is safe, clean and neighbors are kind. So, yes, listen if it best helps people. Otherwise, there is no point.

It can be bad at times, especially when you've got your own problems to deal it. You can't really listen to everyone. It's good that you listen to others, but when you keep on listening, some people may actually get disappointed when you stop listening even once.

It is not really bad at all. Listening to others' problems can help. One can learn from it and be mature in life. However, don't take it too emotionally or you might get a heart disease. Just pray for the person and leave everything to God. Have a nice day!

I don't see anything bad or wrong in listening with everybody even if it is a problem or a simple stories.. in fact when you listen to a person who has a problem you actually helping him or her in you own little way of listening.. because you help them release what burdens them inside and who knows you might have an idea to solve his or her problem..

its good to be listening to people's problems. You should actually be happy that people actually share problems with you. It means they treat you as someone they can trust and put their faith in and even for advices to their problems. Anyway humans like to listen to problems, its in their nature to do so as the information is somewhat 'addictive' to the brain. You may get an information overload when you listen to everyone's problems so maybe listen to those close to you
