If God Is In Control of Everything, Why Don't I Live by a Bank/Grocery/Deli?

I almost did a few years ago, except the 'grocery' was more "gourmet" (a little out of my price-range). But now the grocery's out-of-business (really, no one was buying enough there to keep it afloat) and the deli's gone too (replaced by a nightclub). But now the closest thing I've got is a BUY FOR LE$$ grocery that is further away than the bank and sells (like) one kind of sandwich ... but none of that's the point. The point is ... G*d. I've mentioned it before--that G*d doesn't really care what's good for us if it's not good for Him. Oh, people phrase their prayers like that---saying 'if You'll gimme-gimme-gimme Your gifts, I'll use them more-&-more to Your glory.' But that's not how it works. It actually turns out that 'to His glory' is just a more-profitable way to use His gifts. So as you use what you have 'to His glory,' more-&-more gifts will be provided in the profits therefrom. But G*d Himself? He's not doing anything but 'allowing' you to continue---so sure He is that He could stop you if He wanted, He doesn't need to prove it (as just your fear of His wrath should be enough proof to keep you obedient ) But I think my point is that it DOESN'T MATTER what G*d wants if no one is willing to DO WHAT MUST BE DONE. I could preach-&-preach-&-preach that G*d wants a Bank/Grocery/Food-Court right next-door to my apartment, but if NO ONE BUILDS IT, then IT WON'T GET BUILT. G*D DOES NOTHING! Prove me wrong!

20-19 Giants win. this is the miracle I mention first when Anyone questions miracles. but there are so many that happen all around us. In a way you can call my sister and me miracles. Why. G-d made it so that my dad didn't go with his unit, he was given permission to marry my mom. It is sad yu think g-d does nothing Just because He doesn't done what You want Him to do.He helps secretly and watches out for us, period. The rest is up gto us. But every once in a while He sweeps down performs miracles, just because.

Awesome! I think you just 'circumcized my heart' (in a good way ) My argument is kinda like the way my friend keeps prayin` for a "real nice car real soon," when we all know that a 'real nice car' is more trouble than it's worth. And her niece who keeps praying to have her children back, when we all know that it's a BLESSING that her children are taken away from her. So indeed it's a BLESSING that I can make the trip down to the BUY FOR LE$$ & FAMILY DOLLAR & the bank, and it's a BLESSING I'm single etc. But I don't wanna

Who knows. Maybe you need the walk. Adversity breeds invention. Have you even attempted to open a store yourself??? You know Walmart started in small towns where no one wanted to be. They had such low prices look where they are at now. Perhaps, it's time to stop expecting everyone to do it all for you. Start walking and discover how many will lend a hand.

Oh, I'm not saying 'no good comes from the adversity there' ... a lot of my discussion-starts come as a result of city-screwups I run across on that long walk. But I would be able to think of way-better solutions to national- & international problems if I didn't have to worry about these little neighborhood inconveniences. (Which is why Jesus Christ couldn't take care of international problems during HIS time on Earth!)

Find a place where you are alone, be relaxed, close your eyes, take a deep breath and try to imagine the image of god in your mind, you'll get the answer, I mean, you'll come to know if you're right or wrong.

Oh, I "know" I'm right (answer the opening question, then tell me if you disagree).

Only one suggestion I've for you, don't try to understand him. He's beyond our brain and his grace doesn't come to you as material wealth. Whether you believe it or not, he loves you. That's the truth. No matter what religion you follow and how do you name it, you love him, believe him, don't believe him, doubt him, anyways he loves you, his love is unconditional for you, don't let him down.

You're right. I should focus on 'the mission': abundantly living abundant life (and that's NOT 'life with lotsa wealth etc,' but 'life of contentedness'---and if I am not content, it's MY fault as long as it's not because something was stolen from me.) And I could say my life (as opposed to the life I'm living now) was 'stolen from me,' but what was stolen (by drivers' stupidity, which the American government ENCOURAGES ) was 'the option of living any life but the one Our Father gives me.'

I'm on safe ground when I say: Just be thankful that He isn't giving you what He actually owes you. Because we're all like it.

It is written, "seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. " Read the Bible and you will know how generous and loving God the Father is. God Bless.

Yes. And the Bible tells me that He only wants the love the people give to Him freely. If I 'seek His kingdom' IN ORDER THAT 'all these things be added unto me,' the love's not freely given!
