My salary is not enough to cover monthly expenses

My children school fees have taken up half of my total monthly earning. The rest is not enough to go around for one month. All the money usually vanishes on the 10th of every month. The only solution is to get an additional job but up to now I haven't got one yet. Does any of you experience the same? Please share. Thank.

Before,I am the only one who pays my tuition fees, when I was still studying.I still do it today,as the cost of living expenses are going up,then my salary is surely not enough to connect my daily needs for the next month income is already consumed, due to advances of the salary. When I was going to my work,I have to make an extra income by making some sandwiches, and other snacks,so that my mates in the company would not go out for some snacks that I have it with me already for them to buy.By this way,I have manage to expand my,hard earn money, then I also have to apply as salesman to other cosmetic companies,as they also offer part time jobs as salesman. It is very hard to become a salesman, yet I just enjoy myself doing it,so that I can have more clients.I have never doubted myself and earn what was worth my perspiration of being a salesman. At least I have earn much more to meet my monthly salaries, and I have already had a savings out of my perseverance of making extra income. It is really tiresome sometimes, yet I have to strive my best to survive.

Well one thing I can think of is think opposite. Is there anything you could do at home that could help? Things that can save on the bills, foods that you don't really need to buy but want. Maybe you could find some good tips that can help you save more at home?

I heard that people over 45 years of age will find it hard to get a job in Australia. Is that true? Don't you think that the older he is, the more difficult it is to find a job?

That's bad. Probably only internal connections might help. I mean you don't have anyone you know in the company, you won't get no chance at all of beng hired, right?

They say it isn't but it's true. They discriminate for sure but there is no way to really prove it. My mum had been trying to get a job for years and even though she's qualified they wouldn't hire her. She's 50 now and has a part time job but they hired her out of desperatoin, there weren't really any candidates for the job

Right now because my dad takes care of the bills and food, i do not have to worry about anything. But my monthly income too is not enough to pay for the bills and food. I am planning to start a part time business where i could earn some extra income. It should help me out in the long run. I suggest you too to get a part time job or do a side business which relates to health care, personal care and insurance products. With that you could get enough money to cover you monthly expenses.

Yes it is difficult to find part time jobs outside. You could do work from home marketing jobs, which you can do in your free time and earn some extra income. If you manage to get many customers buying your products, your salary could become more than your full time job.

The problem is that I find it hard to find a part time job. At least a part time job will make up the difference.

Sometimes what we think is not as what we find in reality. For example, I once said to my wife that I would get a part time job easily later but in reality I did find it hard to get one.

If your salary is not enough to cover your expenses, you need to figure out where you can trim some expenses. Likely, there are ways to decrease your family's spending. Also, from what I understand, school fees are only about $15USD per month. Unless you have a bunch of kids, what you bring in from online earnings alone should be able to cover such fees.

Ixodoi, perhaps you should take a look at what country people are from before responding. The poster is from Indonesia, and I was referring to the average monthly cost in that particular country. As for my country, we have free public education.

Thank you all for your participation here. I have to provide at leat US90 per month for my two kids. Actually, there are free educations but I am worried the quality of education is very low. I can say that perhaps a salary of US600 per month will be enough for me. This amount will cover all expenses such as electricity, foods, transport, phone bills and all. Currently I only earn US300 per month.

15$? Maybe in your country. I pay over $500 a month per child (and i have more than one). Good schools are extremely expensive nowadays, and it's not like public schools cost much less (about $400 a month) so I prefer to put the extra 100 and know my child get the best. It is very pricy, but we decided that education come first, so we don't go out a lot (maybe once per couple of months), and for our yearly vacation we took a tend and slept next to a lake - a free & full of fun vacation. Also we gave up on cable TV, instead we go to the library to read books - better for the kids & again free. We also cut down in food & supply, but not drastically & we are now always in the lookout for coupons. Overall we were able to cut off a lot of our expends once we decided there are more important things & we don't feel like we are missing a lot since we found other enjoyable alternatives.

Hi, The costs of the things we use daily are rising up. and the salaries are not rising in that proportion. I think many of us are facing this problem. I am the retired person. I don't have pension. I have some investments and I am working as insurance advisor. I am also searching for a part time job. My son has well paid job. We are together so the expenses are divided.

You are lucky to have a son who can share the cost of living. With him having well paid job, the burden is not that heavy.

I was pretty much in charge of my life until I got ill. And although my health insurance plus a special help from the government covers a great part of the treatment, noone will cover small extras that add up when one is ill. Fortunatly my family is helping me out.

Yes, money is tight everywhere. It would help if your wife also an an income to add to yours. Budgeting when there's very little money to budget can really be a headache.

Hi there! Yes I have experienced this before. I am not married yet but I am the only child in the family that is why I handle all of our expenses. Food, Rent, Water, everything. Sometimes, my salary is not enough. But what I usually do is to budget my salary. I will not buy things that are not necessary. Good thing I was able to get an increase and I was able to budget my salary now.

Your wife doesn't have a job? I know how difficult life is, but so far I have not experienced the same thing as you. I have only one son but he goes to one of the most expensive school in my city. Nowadays, it's really practical if both parents are earning a stable income to sustain the family expenses.

its really hard when we have our own family and our salary is not enough to cover monthly expenses, that is why some of people look for another side line for their additional income to cover expenses, actually there are many people who have many sidelines aside from their full time work.

Minimum wage workers are suffering this problem. The prices of prime commodities are increasing almost every month, but the salary never increases in a year- that's the reason why it's hard to cope up with the daily expenses for minimum wage workers. Having sideline or other job will he a great help- but, we must take care of our health too..or else we will end up spending our spare earnings for hospitalization.

Currently I don't have children but I'm studying and working supporting my self just to finish my degree even though I have stable job and good salary still I have the same problem as yours my income is not enough to cover my other expenses aside from my tuition fees. It is a good thing that I have learned this online job and found many sites that could help me support all my expenses and other needs. So far I earn good money online so most of my online earnings become my savings and investment for the future. I know exactly what you feel right know I just hope you could find a good site too were you can able to earn just like me.

High paying job nowadays is so hard to find specially in a province where whom-to-know syndrome is rampant. For extra income, you need to observe your surroundings what's in then you can have a business out of it. Direct selling too is best just to make sure that your customers are good payer. Good luck!

Even for single people, not having enough money is really a problem. In my country, there are so many unemployed people and people with very low income. The number of crime has increased due to this situation. People need money to be able to live on.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am now still seeking a job. Actually, there is one offered to me but it is out of town. I am afraid the salary I will get may be used to only cover my living expenses in a new place. It will not be useful for my family.
