Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating and purging, or consuming a large amount of food in a short amount of time followed by an attempt to rid oneself of the food consumed (purging), typically by vomiting, taking a laxative or diuretic, and/or excessive exercise. maybe she was take too much about her boyfriend say. that she was getting fat. it really sad when someone take it in a wrong way. i was not able to like her, trying so hard to vomit. what! do you?

I didn't know that over exercising is also considered as bulimic. I am exercising a lot lately because I want to shed off my extra pounds. I had a classmate before who is doing this and it is gross. And because she does this often, when we were near graduating, she had a very bad breath. The doctor in our clinic said that it has nothing to do with her teeth but with constant vomiting. So it's really bad for her health.

I have never tried to make myself sick, but I have in the past over-exercised, I would actually spend 3 hours in the gym nearly every day, trying to get off the weight, no matter how much I lost I still looked and felt fat. No matter how much weight I lost it never made any difference, I had to lose more and more and more, it's linked to people having low self-esteem and see themselves as ugly and fat even though they are not. It's only through intensive therapy and good friends can the person pull through, but it's a long, long road to recovery. I hope she gets help, she really needs it right now.

First of all, I don't think that you should assume that this girl has bulimia because there could be a variety of other reasons that she needed to throw up. For example, sometimes when a person has drank too much, they will feel like they need to throw up in order to not feel so bad after drinking. There have been times that I've been tempted to do that, but I've never actually done it. I don't think that I could ever force myself to vomit, but I know that there are a lot of people that can.
