When I was in College, I used to talk with my books. Calling the names of the authors, to make it clear I am not insane.lol I used to that not to feel bored over reading the context written by the authors. I have five books with different principles and ideas for such theory. I read them one a time and talk to them as if we are having group study. At least, I had pin point the differences and validate the same flow of thoughts. How about you?

I have been a book lover since my childhood and books are my best friends even now.I have a home library of my own and I can locate any of my books even in darkness. The number of books in my home library has been continuously increasing. My friendship with books is such that I can't live without them.If sometimes any of my books gets lost, I turn almost mad.I begin feeling as if I am missing my best friend.

I have never been in that situation but I do love reading. I read magazines, newspaper, books, and mostly novels. But one thing I can say I'm crazy about reading is the feeling is very real to me whatever the characters felt in the book and it stays with me in a week or more. It's like I'm in the book and riding the situation along with them.

When I was young, books were my best friends. I read quite a lot of books, but now the books I read are related to my teaching in most cases. I seldom read books unrelated to my teaching. But it dates back to two weeks, I become crazy about reading a book downloaded from the Internet on my mobile phone. It is all short stories related to some myths. I read some every night after getting to bed. I read them till I get sleepy and tired. Thanks for your discussion. Stay warm, Shavkat.

During the examinations, I used to singing songs to my books in order not to feel bored over reading and studying. Normally, I read aloud for memory the text or questions and answers. Then I sang the context by using some famous melody. It made me fun and interesting. I didn't feel sleepy and bored.

That sounds very interesting and fun. I don't like my textbooks much because they are very expensive and I am very broke so if I was to have a relationship with my textbooks it would probably be a bickering one where we are always arguing about what is the right way to understand the material. It might also make selling back the books to the bookstore harder.

Books are my best friends, but I usually don't talk to them. I let that they tell me their story and convert it into my personal story. Every book I read has got a special influence over me as I feel myself a part of the history meanwhile I read it. Once I finish to read it, I always feel a bit pity as it ended already and I try to imagine how the history could carry on.

No I haven't talked to my books I was generally the one to start study groups. I like to be around others and the more you have taking part in study groups the better everyone will do on their tests. Good luck in your studies.

I do love to read books ,especially fiction .I do not actually talk to them but I find myself living among the different characters , taking sides with the good ones and disliking the bad ones .

Books are our best friends. Most of us are interested in reading as well as have reading as a great hobby. But in our busy schedule we don't have more time for reading, however some persons allocate some time for their reading activities. As they are very much interested with reading and don't want to miss it.
I am a great fan of reading. During my school and college days i spend a lot of time in reading my books as well as library books. In my school days books are my first friends and spend most of my time with it. I am very much interested in studies and keep books in my hand throughout the day and read it a lot. I don't had a lot of friends in my school days. I think i had only 3 friends during my school days as i consider books as my good friends and spend most of my time with it.
Lot of the book authors are my friends in this sort. i.e i read the books of various authors in my school days and like their way of writing. I consider the author who impressed me a lot with his writing as my good friend and interested in reading various books from his /her writing. In this way, Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, William Wordsworth are my good friends and spent my time in reading their books.
In my opinion books are our best friends compared with the real persons, as books don't know to cheat or betray the friend as well as their is no fake identity with the book. It will teach a lot of good things to us and help us to increase our knowledge. A good book have the ability to make a great impact in our mind and make a turning point in our life. If we took books as our best friends in our school and college days and give importance to reading it, surely we will increase our knowledge and get good marks in our exams.

Oh, I love many of the books that I read. Then again, my major is English, so I just love to read. I have so many books to read, and when I have the chance, I do my best to get to as many of them as possible.
I really do love Voltaire and his ideas and philosophy. "Candide" was one of my favorite books.

Like Else22, I also have a library of books. I have a collection of old books and also my other books. I have one computer room full of books (including my computer books) and magazines. In the bedroom are my writing and math books. I also have lots of books in storage.
