On Appointments: They told you to be early but in fact, they're late

I hate it when this happens, usually we engage on such instances wherein we are scheduled for an appointment and then you agreed upon the scheduled time but in the long run, the person that you are meeting with is late on the said meet-up.
My personal take on this is when i was scheduled for an appointment for an interview and i was so ready for my things, complying this and that and did manage to be on time on the said appointment. It was mind boggling waiting for an hour almost 3hours if i'm not mistaken on that interview. I hate it when such appointment comes up late because it eats up our time and effort on going to such meet-ups.

Well it is inevitable specially if it is about interview with work. Some times, applicant's patiences and persistence are being tested as a form or part of the hiring process. If you stayed and remained calm after long time of waiting then It shows how patient an applicant and it shows how interested he is to get the job.

Sometimes yes it may be a situationer test for some companies to test their applicants whether or not they can endure the tension of waiting but in other situations it is somewhat frustrating for example, having an appointment to a health professional or having an appointment to your lawyer etc. It's somehow frustrating to wait up for them if you know yourself that you came early with the said appointment.
Thanks for your response.

Even a company taking interview should not use such methods, as making a person wait for too long. I do not consider that as acceptable.

Oh yes, if you are going to ask for the services like lawyer you cAn just leave the place and look for another professional of same nature who are willing to take time for you. You are going to be a lost customer or client.

I also experience those things not only when it comes to interview but on other appointments as well. Well, before I can say that I really hate it when things like this happened. But not this times because I consider myself busy all the time. I always take free time to write articles so I don't think too much about the waiting time.
Have a nice day!

Sometimes, waiting also helps us on diverting on other things like as what you mentioned, writing articles it also helps us not stirring up frustration of waiting for such appointment and diverts negative vibes to a positive one.

I totally agree with you on this one. I think when someone is setting up an interview with you and it is for a job, just like they expect you to be on time for the interview, they should be expected to be on time as well. The job that I am now working at this happened to me. I was on time for both of the interviews that they have given me. And both times the interviewee was late. I had a phone interview and the person was almost 10 minutes late, I was waiting for 15 minutes and I was about to give up and cancel the interview, when they finally called. Also when I had a second interview, I practically waited an hour for the person was doing the interview to come in. I was told the person wasn't even there and also that he was running late. I was like okay if I was running late for my interview they probably would have never hired me.

True, sometimes it is frustrating to wait for such appointments and in the long run you end up with worse results.
The best way we can stay away from being pissed with it, is just let it out and forget than it did happen.
Thanks for your response.

Is it job interview? Yeah job interview tend to no be on time, usually there are some of time stretch when we go to job interview, it tend to stretch to half an hour or even more than that. It's annoying if you think, since our time is valuable and can be spent in anything more productive than just to wait.

In any appointments that you are attending with, regardless if its a job interview or a meeting with your counselor etc. It is somehow mind boggling on such people taking your time with waiting for them to arrive.
Such should be early because you follow the time and scheduled appointment.
Thanks for your response.
