Family goes to sleep when you come to visit...

The two of them made arrangements to go and visit the family for the evening. When they got to the family members, they enjoyed supper together (which everyone contributed to), where-after the husband said, "enjoy the rest of the evening, but I do not feel up to conversation tonight!" he left for his bedroom and shut the door. What an embarrassing moment!

My friend - this is NOT a joke. This happened last week! The man and his wife invited some of the family.... By the time the table was set, he walked in and said:'I do not feel like having conversations tonight, sorry'... and off he went into his bedroom...

Yes, I agree with you on this one dee. Personally, even if I am not feeling well, I would see to it to be with my guests for that moment. It is also important to think about the feelings of those persons who made their way to visit us. Have a nice day!

Especially if you have invited them for dinner! This is a very rude man. His wife felt awful.

Hmm I think out of respect to his guests he should have tried to stay awake and visit with his company. Maybe he was really depressed about something or ill though so I guess I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I would be kind of embarrased if my man did this.

Looking back to his personality, I must admit he is not very fond of people. My problem is now: why did he invite them over if he did not want people at his house?

My poor hubby has this problem.. he often falls asleep when he sits for any length of time...not out of rudeness, because he loves to talk, but he sufders from health problems that make him very very tired

Now that make sense, and I understand that. But you know what, This person did not even eat the food on the table. When they started dishing up, he just excused himself. And as far as I know he has no health issues.

Maybe there is something wrong with him or maybe a family conflict. Why does he act that way? It means there is conflict between them.

No, there is no conflict. The family seldom visits them because of this thing he has with people. I mean, you do not invite people over when you make it clear to them (just before the dinner) that you are not up to conversations... that's kind of rude I would say.
