Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your problem very well and i know u must be worried for your son. I would like to advise u to consult a different doctor again and do not delay otherwise your son would be the ultimate sufferer. Consultation for such ailments should never be delayed and it is high time that u consult a good doctor and seek his or her advise. I hope he recovers very soon. What say?

Well, he went to a specialist after the pediatrician. They think it's a blocked gland. But they ran a CAT scan on it, too, just to be sure what's in there. We'll know the results tomorrow morning. Hoping it's nothing. Thank you!

The Lymphoma of the jaw can be caused by a lot of things. Really much better to see a specialist and have a biopsy so that you'll know what kind of disease it is and how to manage it. I pray that it is something not major.

Unfortunately, I do have some experience with someone having swollen lymph nodes. However, I have to say that I really don't want to share too much about it because the outcome of the swollen lymph node really wasn't something that was really a happy experience. My husband had a couple of swollen lymph nodes on his neck and his physician sent him to a surgeon to do an ultrasound of his lymph nodes. When she measured them through ultrasound and saw that they were pretty large, she said that they needed to be biopsied to check for lymphoma. After a biopsy, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. He had to undergo 12 treatments of chemotherapy and then a month of radiation. However, he has at least been free of cancer for the last year.
