Did you vow or resolve to get healthier in the new year?

That's a great questions. I started eating healthier almost 2 years ago when I discovered Herbalife. But now I promised myself to be sure to work out this year. To make sure I do at least 30 minutes at least 6 days a week. It will be different this time because I am different this time. I am more focused and motivated then ever before. I lost the weight now I want to get my body tight and in good shape. Besides I have to be a inspiration to my clients. I must show them eating well and working out go hand in hand.

Hmmm... so you don't want to get healthier in the new year or what? People seem to have the wrong attitude about goals sometimes. A goal with no planning or action will of course fail, but a goal with some steps built in and a plan to achieve it, motivation and desire from the person who made it will surely happen.

Of course this is one of the things that I've resolved to do this year. For me, the first step toward getting healthier is that I have to teach myself to be able to eat right again. As I've mentioned in one of my prior discussions, I've been struggling highly from a loss of appetite and I am trying to start eating two or more times a day now. Another thing that I hope to be doing after the weather breaks is that I want to be able to start exercising more.

That's good
Not being hungry really gets in the way of trying to eat right, but it might be a good way to make up menus and try some new things, new foods or new recipes. There are some exercises you can do indoors too, even if you don't have a treadmill or a weight bench.
You could jump rope or just jump from side to side in place, do crunches or planks, pushups (full, modified, or wall) squats or lunges. You can use soup cans or water bottles as weights as well lol.

Giving up, for me, is a very big failure. I've already set my goals for this year and I'm planning on sticking with it til I achieve it. I used to look at people who have failed and it really ruins my mood of achieving success. Then I figured out that it's actually counter-productive. I told myself "I should be looking up to the people who've failed but stood up the second time around and succeeded" This realization helped me a lot. I surrounded myself with successful people, those that seemed to have magically pulled success towards their side. Then I started studying them (not to the point of stalking them
), breaking their methods to pieces. I learned a lot about this and one day I'd like to share what I've found out.

Just remember - it's not that successful people never fail, it's just that successful people KEEP GOING if they fail. They fall 9 times but get up 10. Also, courage isn't the absence of fear, it's going forward in spite of it.
I try to downplay negative people, we are all actually in control of a good portion of what happens to us, and a lot of it has to do with our attitude, not merely the circumstances.

I haven't made any new year's resolution. I haven't even thought about it. Maybe i have forgotten out of boredom or just outgrown it already.
I remember back in 2011, I made a promise that before 2012 ends I'm going to another country and start a new life! It happened in October of 2012 and yes i am still adjusting to my new life in this foreign land which somehow made me forget what my goal should be in 2013.
So now, i just have this thought. I'm going to be friendlier, meet people and not be scared of exploring the city by myself!!!

Learning and exploring a new area sounds like fun... I hope you don't get lost like I do.
I think it's good to have consistent goals, not necessarily to make one because it's a new year but just to have something ahead to meet, something to look forward to and work toward, all the time. @wolfie34 (26770)

I am fortunate in that I am already healthy, going to the gym 3 times a week, doing a stringent 90 minute work out. I don't tend to make New Year's resolutions any more, if I want to change something why wait till January 1st, why not do it today! However there is something I would like to achieve in the new year, to 'love' myself, I know this sounds strange, but I have low self esteem, and low self-worth. I need to work on myself to improve self esteem and not to care what people think about me, stop telling myself I am ugly and stop trying to mind read what others are thinking of me. That to me is a big goal I have set myself, but if I want a healthy mind as well as a body I have to start loving myself.

Excellent goal and decision for 2013
People forget, if you don't love yourself, how can you love anybody else, or let someone else love you?
Some people just like to have that specific 'fresh start' and all the razzle dazzle that goes along with a new year, it's a motivating factor. I make goals, not resolutions, and most of them are specific and build into a larger goal.
I wish you a joyous new year and the courage to be positive in every area of your life.
