Low stock in the shop due to Christmas

I wished to send a birthday present and went to the post office. I was dismayed to find just two lightweight bubble envelopes. Not either of them would fit the present. I know postage is now quite pricey in my home country. Therefore I didn't want to send a box. You see that would have been expensive.
I decided to drive over to my nearest high street to the post office there. Amazingly that was exactly the right thing to do. They have many bubble envelopes of different sizes. I was able to get the ideal one for the present, letter and birthday card. The postage cost less than two pounds. So I feel so happy about that.
Have you noticed low stock and think it is due to Christmas?
Did you ever go to one shop and they didn't have what you wanted?
If so what did you do to solve that?

If one place wouldn't have something specific I was looking for,I'd move on to the next shop that would or might have it..a workaround would be the last resort,for Me.

Well, we have not faced such issues in case of stationery during festive season. Yet, I have sometimes faced issues in stock of sweets or milk sometimes during festive rush. May be things vary from country to country.

My father wanted a slimline diary, he didn't get one for Christmas and needs its for work purposes, so after Christmas I go to the shops to get him one, do you think I could find one? I went into four shops and their diary supplies were depleted! You'd think they'd keep the shelves stocked of 2013 diaries wouldn't they! I even found a 2012 diary would you believe! Talk about bad stock rotation. I eventually got one for him.

I don`t buy many presents nor send them. So I don`t know much about shops. But the super had small amounts of so foods after Christmas and after New Year. They were shoet of some veggies and fruits and Summer heat doesn`t help any as the produce rippens too soon.

My cafe is that way, Im out of coke and pepsi here. After a good 8 days of business here. I also need to stock up some on candies and chips. Im glad the delivery people all come
here tomorrow- friday.
