Effective use of "referral link" and how to append "?ref=username"

How to increase MyLot earnings through the referral link is easier said than done. How many users have you convinced to join the site? Please clearly mention the steps and procedure you've made. How do we append the "?ref=username" to any end of MyLot page?
If you know of any source where these things are plainly discussed and illustrated, please give me the link. I believe these things will do wonder to help us improve our earnings if fully understood and implemented, but I haven't seen a detailed direction on how they're made to work.

What I did was, I copy and pasted my referral link to different forums and to my blog. I also used banners for visual aids. I've just done that yesterday and now I've got one referral. I'm hoping that there will be coming more and they'll be active in myLot.

Sureoi, I think you're an angel sent to help me. You did a bright description of what you did with your referral link to help you earn something. Now help me in a clear and concise illustrative way, a sort of a sample for clear understanding. I think you can do it- please!

hi what kind of forums are they can you name them?
I am not at all successful in getting referrals till now. Not knowing how to get them . But the activity depends on them.

I'll try my best to illustrate clearly what I did. First, I went to a few forums and post something about mylot and explaining them how it works then I posted also in my blog. Forums are big help in getting referrals. So I suggest you should register in some forums it will help you a lot. But read first the rules before posting. :)

I haven't tried that method yet. What I did was to copy my referral link and post it on facebook. Ihave 12 referrals to date. But the problem is none of them was active. It is to invite but to make them participate is another thing.

Actually no. I just copied my referral link and pasted it on my facebook homepage. Then some introduction of the site and the benefits. I also use some banners or I just make a screen shot of the logo and make my own design. I use it on some of the blog sites. You can also visit my profile if you like.
