I am getting tired of cooking at home.My husband and I are thinking about eating out these days, but it really will cost a lot if eating out frequently.Unlike most of new couples in china,we cook ourselves instead of eating in our parents'.But after months' of cooking at home,we are so bored with it.Do you have the same feeling?

My husband and I seldom eat outside, it is expensive and especially considering the health issue, I often feel the food outside is unhealthy. I often wonder about the food when I once in a while eat outside: Are the vegetables washed clean? Do they use the healthy oil to cook? Is the meat you use quality-assured meat? SO many qustions for the food outside, so I don't like eating outside. Thanks for sharing!

No, I enjoy cooking most of the time. Unless I have had a very long and stressful day and the pantry is getting a tad, cooking is generally enjoyable--not a chore. It sounds like you just need to approach cooking with more creativity. See it as a chance to express yourself. Experiment with new dishes, new flavor combinations. Be bold and daring.

That's really the only option if I want to make it to the end of the month. I live mostly apy cheque to paycheque and it's pretty tough. Cooking is not always pleasant, secially when you're tired or sick. But also, there are cooking options that do not take to much effort and time. there are lots of easy and fast recipies, to find even over the internet if you would like to search. There are ready prepared portions at the supetmarket that you only need to heat and it's cheper than eating outside. or maybe you know a cheap restaurant that will not charge you an arm and a leg to eat out. All options are open!! :)

I only get tired of cooking whenever i get stressed from work and I have to prepare my meal instead of having rest right away. But I don't want to buy cooked food outside or eat out as I love my own cooking and i am certain what I am eating is nutritious. So when i feel that i get tired of cooking, I will have to tell myself that I get my energy from proper food. although sometimes I eat with my friends for a change and to socialize with them.

Hi Frankly speaking i don't like eating outside often. I like to cook simple dishes at home itself. They are healthy and it takes less cost even/spend less money. There is lot of cleanliness problem outside . So i am really choosy about that.

I don't enjoy cooking. I was the cook for the household for 15 years when I was married. I didn't enjoy it then and now that I'm not married, I don't enjoy it any more. The one thing I did like about cooking was that it got the family to sit down together and enjoy an hour or so together. But now it's just me and sometimes my daughter. But she's working evenings more so she's home less for dinner. I don't see the point in cooking for myself. I don't necessarily even enjoy the act of eating so much. In fact, I just remembered, because my stomach started growling, I forgot to eat anything today. Since I work evenings, it's much easier for me to run through a drive-thru and grab something fast instead of trying to cook something. By the time I get home it's too late. It's too early when I leave. I usually work 3-5 hours in the morning, then I start at 3 in the afternoon and go until 9 or so. So that leaves the option of crock-pot cooking. That's ok, but it gets old. And I'm the world's worst when it comes to actually eating left-overs.

Do the Chinese only cook and eat Chinese food? I love to cook and prepare so many varieties of food I could never get bored. In Australia we cook and eat foods from the world over...Italian, French, German, Asian. There are just so many different types to choose from. Of course, it's always great when someone else prepares the food but eating out is much, much too expensive.

I've had dozens of cookbooks over the years and now I find the Internet a more convenient way of finding and trying recipes.

Tired cooking - Sometime we get tired of cooking at home
Hi there! I love cooking and I enjoy cooking a lot. The only time that I don't feel like cooking is when I am tired from work of getting home late. Sometimes I feel too lazy too but most of the time I am cooking. We sometimes go to restaurant and eat too for Atleast once or twice a week;-)

We will never feel bored if we regard cooking as a way of showing our talent. And it is really an amzing thing to have your loved ones eat the meal cooked by yourself.I always comfort myself this way.

I toally understand how you feel. me and my husband we got married last year (2012) and we lived in our own house, just two of us,no parents in law. so we have to cook by ourselves. At the beginng, i felt it's very nice,we are kind of person we do not perfer to eat out.my husband cook breafast while i prepare dinner. but after half of year, i found i got tired.i have to go home early every day after work to prepare dinner and i have to clean up everything in my kitchen. it makes me feel exhausted.these days,we often go out for our dinner, three times per week and it definitely costs me much, gosh! i miss those days i lived in my parents'house, they always prepared delicious food for me everyday.

I love to cook, but I get what you are saying. You do get tired from all the cooking especially if you don't have anybody to help you wash the dishes. I don't know about you, but me since I live alone, I have to clean up after cooking and it can be overwhelming when you just got back from work.

Maybe you should try eating out once in a while so that you can get rid of boredom. Of course, we would not stop cooking for our families because we love them. You just have to break this boredom or try some exquisite recipes. :-)

That is annoying. I don't have to cook for my family, but I do cook for myself, and it does get tiresome. Maybe you could try cooking easier meals and having your husband (and your kids, if you have them) pitch in and help to take the load off of you.

Sometimes you can eat outsides. I visited China (Goanzhou, Changsha) in 2000 and I have seen a good number of Chinese people take dinner in the restaurant. Obviously it is costly. Making/Cooking of food in the house is cheaper than outside's food. Have a great weekend.

We love to try new dishes so that might be something you can do to spice it up a bit, or you could make a date night where you go out to eat and then cook at home the rest of the nights.

Cooking may sometimes be entertaining if you don't do it everyday.Sure you had better give yourself a gift by going out sometimes for dinner with your partner.I don't think it will cost too much if you do it once or twice a week.
