I'm a chain smoker, I used to smoke 10 to 20 sticks everyday before. Recently I decided to quit from smoking for this year for a good change. It was a sudden decision I made for myself because I used to plan to quit smoking but I never did. It's not that easy together with the smoke buddy but I have to let got from some point as I met someone who inspires me a lot. Since Jan. 1 until now I never smoke BUT I was really tempted to at least have 1 puff or one stick. I even dreamed at night that I was smoking not to exaggerate things to divert my cravings I searched some tips and cause of smoking but then again my saliva still longing for nicotine... a cigarette... Can you give me some tips or something to get rid of my cravings? How can I fight my cravings? Is it normal that I experienced most of the time a little chest pain and headache which I didn't experience when I was smoking before?

The chest pains and headache could be due to the bad effects of smoking. This alone should be motivation enough for you to finally stop that vice. Smoking is really bad. When it is bad, we avoid it.

I quit smoking about 4 years ago for economic reasons. I`m fatalist as health goes and I did not much care about the dangers of smoking. I was right, by the way. I was diagnosed a lymphoma (nothing to do with smoking) 2 years ago. A scan showed a small emphysema. The doctor told me about it laughing. I answered she should take care of my cancer and then, later, we`d worry about my lungs. But I don`t think that I can smoke one again in my entire life. I did that once and was "clean" for 4 years. I got involved in stressing work and accepted a single ciggie. The next week I was smoking as before. When I quit this time, I ate so many sweets that I have 20 extra pounds. So don`t use eatables. This person who inspires you might be a good reason to stay not smoking. I hope he does.
