I Can't Sleep in My Bed

Instead of sleeping in my bed, I end up here in sleeping on the floor with a mat. It is because my mother is already sleeping in my bed like its hers. She has done this for a couple of times already. I tolerated it and took the chance to sleep with her the other night but I think I just need a really big space during bedtime. I can't move and breath well when I sleep beside someone. I am more used to sleeping alone.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and i know how it feels like when u cannot sleep properly in spite of having a bed. i know u do not want to disappoint your mother and i think in that case u should talk to your mother properly and explain your issues and i am sure she will understand your plight and help u sort out this problem. What say?

Yes, I already talked about this issue to my mom. I told her not to go to my room if it is already night time so that she will not be able to sleep in my bed. Thanks too my friend if you find this discussion good.

Your mom don't have a bedroom or bed for herself? Does she sleeps on the floor all the time? If she sleeps on the floor all the time, i think it is time you should take care of her. I think she must be feeling too cold now to sleep on the floor as she must be old too. Also you should try and adjust your bed as if you are not married now, tomorrow in future you will be married. So i think like your mom sleeps now the bed tomorrow your wife would be sleeping. For now i think you should help your mom to get some good sleep. You can try and get another bed or a thick mattress if you are earning real time. It is not much expensive too. Hope you find peace

Thanks for the suggestion my friend. I appreciate it a lot. She has her own room actually but my father is already sleeping there and she doesn't want to disturb him. I understand why she is sleeping in my bed. I think I just have to give in this time.

How often does she do this? I mean, if she is sleeping on your bed very often, then you might as well buy a bigger bed for the two of you, right? But if it seldom happens, well, just let her stay on your bed. She just might want to be "away" (from your dad) once in a while.
