I always had a hard time getting my sleep my earliest sleep is 11 p.m and the worst is 4 a.m, I tried reading books, writing, and net browsing but it doesn't work. I don't want to take sleeping pills since I might be dependent on it just to get enough sleep. Do you know other ways to get enough sleep?

practice meditation my friend.
it really helps.
plus...
get a copy of binaural beats audios,
or brainwave music.
there is a certain song or audio that will help
you relax, and have goodnight sleeps.
you just have to listen to it while meditating
or while going to sleep.

It is just that you are slowly getting insomniac. There are many reasons for it and not one. Are you in some stress? or depression? because these two are the main reasons for no sleep or you might be sleeping in day. Well i would suggest do not at all go for sleeping pills. They are not only harmful and make your nervous system die, but they are so addictive that it might be fatal for you. I will give you a very good and 100% effective home remedy which has helped many of my friends also. Before you sleep just warm some milk, put honey as your needs, add little crushed ginger, 1 or half tea spoon mace powder, and half teaspoon of turmeric powder. Heat the milk and have it just before your bed. Mace and turmeric acts as a natural sleeping pill and are harmful. Turmeric acts as stress reliever and ginger acts as anti depressant. So all these ingredients give you not only sleep but a sound peaceful sleep you will feel fresh in the morning. Try to sleep early as late sleeping makes you insomniac. Do try this and let me know.

First, you should know what causes you not to sleep at the right time. Do you take coffee before going to bed? Or are you always to stressed after the whole day's work? Or have you been thinking of something that is bothering you? These are the common causes of sleeplessness. If you are a coffee lover, maybe you should try taking less intake of it. Sometimes, if one is too tired, it s most difficult to be relaxed in bed. Take a warm shower. It might help. Also, try completely turning off all the lights. Switch on some sweet music. That should help you doze off. And lastly, if you are thinking about a lot of things at night, try resolving them. Thinking about some problem over and over again doesn't help it to be solved.

There are time that I get sleepless, what I do is go to the cr or the kitchen and stretch my body or I even do some exercises to tire up my muscles. Then I drink water and pee and later on I'm able to sleep. Or maybe you can try sleeping the other side of bed.

If you have some sleeping disorders, you may try to go to bed earlier and read something till you feel sleepy, then you will soon fall asleep. This is what I always do before sleeping. I read what I download from my mobile phone or read news on the Internet with my mobile phone. It helps a lot to feel sleepy and fall asleep. You may have a try to see how it works on you. Take care.

Everything you tried will only keep your mind busy so you awake. 1-2 hours before you go to bed you should dimm the light, no pc, no reading, no tv. Take some relaxing time, think over your day or problems. The longer you were not able to sleep a proper night the more time it will take to reset yourself. The hours before twelve/midnight count extra so I would advice you to go to bed earlier and sleep in a dark room. If there are things keeping your mind busy write them down (put paper and pen next to your mind, write down what keeps you busy and tell yourself you will re-read it later and deal with it later). It worked for me but I also have to admit I still have periods I can't sleep (or am way to tired to sleep). I haven't slept for 20 years less as 4 hours a night so it will take time to reset myself/my habits.

I fully understand your problem. I have had the same problem all my life. I too have tried just about everything you can think of. I know, this doesn't help with the problem. But, sometimes if we know, we are not the only one. It does help. I do meditste. although, it doesn't help sleep. Putting your body in a relaxed state does help.

Try to adjust with your usual and your new transition time. It’s best to keep it in a slow state rather than rushing in to your new sleeping hour.
Sometimes, it’s also good to drink Milk and non-caffeine beverages before sleeping.
Also, get rid of the things that you might find disturbing in your sleep, such as Television, Cellphone, and most especially computer which can provoke you to stay awake at late nights.
If such would occur, it’s best to consult to a physician because they can prescribe you with the right sleeping pills and other medications.

Well you can consult to a specialist so that they can help you in prescribing what to do or better give prescription sleeping pills.
Thanks for your reply.
