I was away from the internet for awhile and when I got back, limewire was gone, frostwire got lame, bearshare got an ugly layout, and my all-time favorite morpheus pretty much fell off the planet. So my question is, where are all the good LEGAL file sharing sites now? Which one has a layout that doesn't seem to be flooded with ads? Where is one that is just as simple and fun as Morpheus was? Does anybody know about any good ones or all they all just extinct?

Yeah, all those sites are gone now. I'm not really familiar with file sharing because I don't upload, I only download. So I am not a seeder, I am just a leecher. Hehe I'm not exactly sure if these are the same thing you are referring to but I download files through isohunt and piratebay.. Is that what you mean? I loved Limewire before. I used to get all songs in there!

Yeah I'd agree torrents are pretty much the easiest and best way to download content these days, and isohunt and pirate bay are definitely the best torrent search engines. Kickass torrents is pretty good too

I was SO upset when Limewire went down, I absolutely loved that site! I got all of my music from there and I can't anymore. I have honestly never found another site like it... I'm sorry to not be able to give you good news but I don't think there is anything like it worth a darn.

It's cool. I thought I was the only one who loved limewire until I started looking around and talking to people. I remember the day I found out the legal powers that be put that warning or cease and desist warning up..it was super tragic to me..I had soooooo much music there..thanks for replying!

My, you must have been away from the internet for quite some time. As far as things go, Megaupload was taken down from the U.S Government for copyright infringement, but in the not so near future megaupload will be back up. Mediafire is still up and it seems to be the most used, next to uploading.to and other various sites. I do recommend mutorrent if you're doing P2P downloading, as limewire, frostwire, (in my opinion) are risky to use

Well, it has happened for quite some time. Specificly when megaupload got taken down. All other file sharing sites are scared and changed quite a lot. Some are shut down, some change their policy like only allow the uploader to download his/her own files, and some removing a lot of files.

I am familiar with those few sites you have mentioned but i don't usually use them. I have a program or application on my tablets wherein i would just type the song title or the name of the singer or band in its own search bar. Then it would give me list of songs I can download without going to any site. So it's convenient. And i don't where that application got those songs to download but it just search it out for me and have it all ready for me and even gives the lyrics so I can sing along with the song while it's playing.
