Why is this happening? There is a lot of distrust going on right now with regards to the safety and the hospitals' capability to ensure that patients do get better when they are admitted. However, a lot of issues and concerns had been raised due to hospital neglect and negligence. Too often a person who is sick gets worse because of some procedures which are not properly evaluated whether they are the proper things to be done considering the condition of the patients. Case in point was my own brother who died in the hospital. He was walking when he went to the hospital, but of course he was sick and we went there for treatment and so he would at least feel better. What happened was unexpected. They applied all these extreme medical procedures that his body probably could not yet take since he was under chemotherapy. He died the following day. We could not understand the whole thing. He was still walking to the hospital and he's dead when he got out. Isn't this alarming? If the only place where we are supposed to be treated and be well, is something that we could not trust anymore, where do we go now?

People are going to start searching for private medical care, because unfortunatly t can be expensive but it is also the best chance you have at getting a better attendace and care. Hospitals seem to be losing their credibility

Either way a doctor e a very responisble career to pick. If you mess up people die. So they should think of these things before they make too much damage.

It must be because of the low pay and too much work for them.

Being in government hospitals could be a nightmare sometimes. We should be expecting equal treatment from private hospitals but, we can surely see the difference. Somehow, doctors nowadays do not prioritize the service that they can provide but rather wanting to earn more. And so since government hospitals could charge less, I guess, doctors provide their services lesser as well.

That only confirms my doubts Jenny. It's scary.

The last place you expect to get 'worse' is at a hospital, and yet we hear of so many problems in hospital Deadly hospital bugs have hit the headlines in recent years. There are many different types of infections patients can pick up in hospital, but the two that have received the most reports are MRSA and Clostridium difficile. There's also the problem of lack of beds, doctors being made to work too many hours and as you rightfully said hospital neglect and negligence It is a worrying trend, but as you say what alternatives are there? Unless you can afford to go private, but who can? And even then do you not face the same problems as any other hospital.

this is a very scary post. this is because i don't trust doctors myself at all. i don't like hospitals. if i were in some dire emergency, i guess i would have no choice. hopefully, this doesn't turn out to be the case at all. i try not to meddle around with doctors if i don't need to. someone once told me that if you hang around a barber shop long enough, you will get your hair cut.

That is why I am asking this Moon. Where do we go then when we need assessment of our health? Often enough, people get the wrong diagnosis.

You know, I am having SAME OPINION HERE. NOT ONLY YOU HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE FOR HOURS AND HOURS, LAST TIME I WAITED FOR 8 HOURS FOR MY TURN, BUT ALSO THE DOCTORS ARE FIRST TRYING TO GET RID OF YOU. It's like they think that people have nothing better to do than sit for hours in the hospital...it's not.Once you finally get to the doctor, first they send you home with a Tylenol. Second time , same. Third time they start to do some tests and when they see that you complain is for real, then they panic. When they panic they might prescribe a stronger treatment that you're supposed to receive, and then you die. Or maybe they do prescribe the right treatment but the technicin gets it wrong, gives you the wrong dosage and then you die. In the last year, so many overdosages happen, both in pharmacies and hospitals. Also, on the other hand,it's hard to blame the doctors, as they are overworked and tired, so thir brain is not functionning anymore as it should. I don't see fast solution to get out of this situation.

I've just read a similar article where someone was asking if we trust our hospitals. Unfortunately unless you have a lot of money you're not as much the hospital's top priority. Of course it's usually by the severity of your condition but sometimes doctors may just tell you that you're fine because they don't want to help you, especially if you don't have money and they have to pay for you.

Yeah, in fact my discussion has been inspired by that post. I replied to that discussion too. A lot of people have different reasons for this loss of trust in hospitals and I want to hear why.

I think there are also good doctors in the world, only a small quantity of bad doctors destory the image of hospitals and doctors. I don't know how to solve this problem but i believe that all the things will be better in the future.
