I had an interesting conversation with my dad which I never had before with a variety of topics, one of these are so-called Watches. He mentioned, automatic watches are in great deal now a days, it doesn't need any batteries to run the watch you just have to wear it everyday and few arrangements along to it's device and it's okay to use unlike with Quartz. Their are very few who sells automatic watches as I observed. If you try to sell your automatic watches it will give a fair amount?

I prefer a good wind up to one that has to have batteries. Replacement batteries are expensive and often times have to be done at the store because of how the watch is taken apart.
I haven't had a watch in years because I keep breaking them, but have thought about buying one that was a necklace instead of one that goes around a person's wrist.
Thanks for the refresher. I had forgotten about looking at watches now I'm interested again.

Hi,
Automatic watches, needing no battery can run on the power of a winding spring and will keep on ticking if worn daily or put on an automatic winder. They have the characteristics of lasting for long periods of time being made in solid rust-proof stainless steel, waterproof and dustproof preserving the movements inside. Under normal conditions and careful use, they could last into the next generations of users. Their price also tend to go up as they get older, say twenty or fifty years from the time it was bought. Mine is a Seiko SKX007K in 7s26 movement, very accurate and very robust diver watch, I wear it anywhere, in land, on sea and underwater under any weather condition. It cost around USD250, not cheap but affordable, and may cost more in the future.
