I have 3 grocery lists here today....

Yes I do, it's imperative so I don't forget something. I try to shop once every 2 to 3 weeks because of the cost of fuel...it's over a 200klm round trip to the closest main town. It's for this reason I shop at one grocery store only...any savings to be had by going to the other store would be eliminated by the extra fuel used to get there. It's also less taxing to me. Tomorrow, I have to go to the supermarket, the chemist, the discount store and the hardware store. I will also be doing some errands for my friend which will mean going to the fuel depot and his bank and to the farm centre. Then I have to call in at the place where I volunteer on the way home. This will add an extra 15klms to my trip. Being so far from everything I like to stock up too.

I like shopping the sales, it helps to save on the food budget. It's even better if I can get some coupons for what I am buying. Good that you had such great business through the holidays. I would stock up on all the items that were a really good sale too, it will help to save money later on. I shop from lists as well. I make out the menu for the week from what I have in the cupboard. If I am out of something that I have on the menu it will go on the grocery list. I always need to get Almond Milk, Bread, Bananas, Oranges and Apples. I like to cook a lot of beans so that is usually always on the list in one form or another.

It would be pointless for me to go to a grocery store without a list. I would forget half of what I wanted and bring home the rest of the store! Shopping with a list helps keep me focused and of course, it saves money. I like to stock up on things when they're on sale then not have to buy them at all when I want them.

I usually just buy what is on sale when I go to the stores. Many people recommend grocery lists so many reasons such as not buying more than the items we need but it doesn't really work for me. I do have a mental grocery list though. Each time I go to the store, I remind myself that I need to at least pick up some meat, some vegetables and some fruit.

Shopping list is a great help not to missed out any important supplies. I do also shopping list since my mind is becoming forgetful when I see a lot of things around me in the groceries. ha ha I tend to buy more unimportant things when I forget my shopping list.

That makes sense writing three lists instead of one, I have made the mistake of doing just one list of items when in fact the items I have needed I have had to go to different shops to get. I have thought I have finished, then I look down and see the last item I wanted on the list I had forgotten to get at the first shop I visited. Since then I do a list for each shop I go into, makes it simpler!

hi there mariaperalta. whenever i go grocery shopping, i always ensure that i have a list with me. this serves two purposes. the first is to ensure that i get everything that i need and the second is to ensure that i don't overspend and i stay within my budget for the grocery shopping trip. plus with a list, i can prioritize the items i need to purchase as it is easier to determine a need from a want when it is wriiten down on paper. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Well, my girl friend does most of the shopping. I go with her. But the store we go to is like a mad house. They have great prices and great sales. She always makes a list. I would rather write things down on my iPhone. And besides, I told her we have the app for that store. So she could store all the coupons on there. But she still prefers the hand written list.

Oh, grocery lists. I'm doing the same thing. But sometimes it's so annoying when I have to go to three places to each stuff for the best price. Even food and drink cost so much these days. But I always carry around the shopping list, not to forget anything and to remember the exact brand on sale.
