Making money through ecommerce website

Hello,
I have been busy lately. I set up a new ecommerce website and I am going to sell a lot of new things in my store. There's a lot of work that need to be done. It is actually not easy. Although the capital to start an online store is so much lower than a brick and mortar store, still, owners of online stores need to spend time on marketing the products, both online and offline. The works involved between running an online and offline store have not much difference. We still use the same basic principles.
I hope I can do good in this, well, I better be good after all the investment I've made, time, money...it is all the way to doing my best.

yes, huge capital is require to open an online store and also a good web designers to attract different people from different countries. Online selling is easy process because you can use third party website and it cost much low then offline selling.

Hi raju,
Huge capital is not required when you open an online store. NO, you don't need to worry about designing the website and getting good graphics and so on to have a successful online store. If you are not good in this, just use ecommerce hosting with free templates and modify it a bit.
It is the trust between the seller (you) and buyers that you should concentrate and keep on building. That's why feedback from customers are online store owners' gemstones. A simple online store with clear description and pictures of products, reliable and prompt service from owner and staff are what make you a successful internet ecommerce boss.

Believe me, I used to think like that too but Nooo...nowadays, online buyers are getting smarter. In the past, a lot of online buyers who got conned are those who judge the 'look' of the website. They thought the flashier the website, the more reliable the website is. That's why many gor conned easily. It is the trust and simple presentation of your products in your online store that are most important.

you are totally right. I have also started a online selling website and i need to spent lot of time and money.I need good web designer now because i just bought a website selling script but its not attracting many people, i want to design my own website through my own way.

I too want to make an online income through building ecommerce web site.But it's not that easy.We have to do a lot of work like marketing,driving traffic to web sites and much more as you ahve said in your post.I have also read that there are some courses regarding how to start an online business like building your web site or ecommerce web site and a like.

Congrats, hopefully the government or BIR doesnt come into online stores. I think they are now eying online stores to pay taxes

Hello,
Yes, sooner or later, I think they will come in. Doing eCommerce is real business and there are many successful online stores that just operate from a small office. The only problem is how to come up with a standard tax calculation (remember you have customers coming from all over the world), that they will have to sit down and discuss with people who are expert in taxing rate.

I tried the blog but so sad i am not really successful. may be i didn't do it properly as i don't have much knowledge about all these.But yes i have heard many success stories about the people who earn well with e commerce business .

I having been trying to make a sustainable online income.Someone told me I can realize my dreams if I create an ecommerce site or blog.The problem is that I don't know how to create a site.I can create a blog,but I have no money to buy a domain name.This is the reason why I have been unable to create a good ecommerce website.

Yes patience and perseverance are very important because some of the works like posting the product description and uploading pictures are very monotonous especially if you have many many products to sell but those are the key steps to getting your products exposed to online customers.

Thanks Archie. It is definitely not easy but I've tried using a free online store like ecrater. I do not market the products aggressively but I do still receive order now and then. Now that's making me happy because I have a little bit of experience in this, I just need to further polish my skill in e-commerce. Thanks for joining in the discussion.

Good luck to you then. I am also wondering how does e commerce business is running and will it be worth it compare to brick and mortar store. I think it is less stressful than having a stall or franchise. I am looking forward also for that kind of business in the future.

Hi kokomo,
You should try selling online but start small first and then slowly grow. There are the pros and cons of doing business online but it's the same when you do your business the traditional way. Do some research, read up a bit about ecommerce.
One of the things I like about selling online is you do not need to keep a lot of stock, tying your money to your capital because there are so much flexibilities in running your store online.

Electronic ecommerce is very popular in this day and age, but it is not easy to do well because of the fierce competition. you should make great efforts. Although an online store start operating is free, it is also requires a lot of time and energy to manage. I know only a little about the ecommerce. In my opinion, if one person want to reduce the stock,who should become an agent middleman at the first and then have ones own purchasing channels. keep learning electric business knowledge is also needed.
