have you ever met someone who seems to be cracking up?

This is what I noticed of a friend. She was by nature animated and lively, but today she sounded like she was not herself, like she was on the verge of cracking up. She had confided that she has a lot of financial problems lately because a lot of huge bills are piling and business is not doing well. She had recently remodeled her shop after transferring from an old location and her resources have been drained. In fact, she had resorted to heavy borrowings, so now she has difficulty keeping up with payments. I really pity this friend of mine but I could not help her as much as I would like to since her problem is financial and I happen to have the same problem too, only mine is on a much smaller scale. She was really very edgy and shaky, full of nervousness when I talked to her this morning. I really do hope she will be able to find solutions to her problems. Have you met someone like that?

Yeah it is very difficult when a person has so much financial problems. I really do hope she can get a handle on her bills. She will have to things tight financially so that she is able to catch up on her payments. I hope that things will improve for her. That would be awful to have all those problems at once.

I just met her yesterday again and I think she is doing better now, not as nervous as before.

I'm glad to hear that she is doing better. Situations like that are very stressful. I know that last year my family had a lot of unexpected things come up which wiped us out financially and emotionally. So I know how stressful financial burdens can be. I hope the best for her and that she will be able to get herself out of debt.

It's very hard to see a friend struggling with a problem that you can't help them with. Debt seems to be a major stressor for most people. I hope her business picks up soon. Maybe you could help her by telling family and friends about her shop.

Yes, Red, I have been doing this, saying good things about her shop.

It's hard when you have a friend who is in trouble and you can't help them. My co-worker is also buried into a ton of debt. That is an incredibly stressful feeling. Myself I am in credit card debt too, and so it's not as though I could just up and borrow her some money to pay hers off. That's not the point, though, anyway - these friends have to figure things out on their own. I guess the best thing you can do is be a listening ear if she needs one, and be there for her if she needs it too. Best of luck to your friend. It sounds like a crummy position to be in.

It is. I see to it that I give my best advice when she confides these problems. That's all I could do. I am hoping and praying that business would peak for her.
