Why Michael's trousers is always short

I think it was kind of his trademark. I think if you mention a pair of trousers a tad too short, loads of people would think of him immediately. Also, this let us concentrate on his feet and dancing more. And also, he was really excentric and fun in clothing, so it made sense that when he was wearing black trousers, it should be short and show some white socks to make some contrast with the classic black gig shoes,
