That's right. A stomach virus has forced him to withdraw from the year's first Grand Slam. Earlier, for the same reason, he missed what was to be his comeback tournament in Abu Dhabi. The good news is, the withdrawal has nothing to do with his knees. He now plans to resume playing in February.

It's very sad to hear this news. But i think he take the right decision. He has to work hard for his next tournament. And am sure that he will comeback with a great energy. Best of Luck Nadal. Our wishes is with you.

Undoubtedly he has taken the right decision. He knows his condition better than anyone else. He must be eager to return to the court, but knows he has to keep his long-term fitness in mind. All the best to him.

He won against Nalbandian to claim the title, great return. Nadal is a great player and has improved beyond imagination. Only hope he maintains his supreme fitness as he eases into top flight competition against the emerging turks.

welcome to myLot! What a welcome return to form. The tennis world was missing him and he has come back well to defeat Nalbandian. If he is able to maintain his level of fitness players like Murray will really be worried. He can conquer them all.
