I have a recipe for Coca-Cola rice, that goes over pretty well. I think incorporating my favorite drink just makes every meal ten times better. What about all of you: what recipes do you have that contain Coca-Cola?

I do drink Coke with lunch every day. Would be very bad for my health, but I have low blood pressure and Coca-Cola actually rises blood pressure, so it keeps me moving about!

Still, try to just have Coke in moderation. Soda has long run side effects. The latest one I read is that it causes depression.

Wow I never know how great is cola in your recipe. I will try it nextime. While I was in Cambodia working as Local NGO, most of the day I have cola, the people were suprised to see drinking cola with salt. One tine just few minutes, because the weather was very hot here. Also I like to take icecream togther with cola, adding cola in my icecream and sipping with pipe slowing. Its wonderful.

I use cola (it doesn't have to be the Coke brand) in several recipes. My main one is a killer barbeque sauce. I use it with beef, pork, chicken and most other meats. I've not heard of using it with rice but I'll check it out.

I didn't even know you could cook things with Coke. I personally do not drink Coke because I don't find it healthy enough however I would love to hear some of your recipes!

Here's the rice recipe: Ingredients 1 and 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil 2 cups long grain white rice 1/2 tsp of salt 3 and 1/2 cups Coca-Cola Directions 1. Heat the oil in a large pot on medium-high heat for 1 minute. 2. Add rice and cook until it is opaque. 3. Dissolve the salt in the Coke. 4. Add the Coke to the rice. 5. Cook until liquid is almost evaporated. 6. Fluff with fork and serve

I got this recipe a long time ago and it was from an old friend and when I was eating a lot of meat. You take one can of regular coca cola and some ketchup and pour it over some boiled chicken in a crock pot and let it simmer all day. The coca cola and ketchup make a bbq coating over the chicken and it's really good. I use to make it all the time.
