My weekdays and weekends...

Most people, especially those who are working or studying look forward to their weekends, because that's when they get to rest more or enjoy other things they like doing. For me, I have things to look forward to on both weekends and weekdays. I love the weekends, because my husband's off from work and my eldest daughter don't have school. It's when the whole family gets to spend time together either in the mall, at a resort, or just at home. I also get to do some housekeeping, since my husband is around to look after the baby, while I'm getting myself busy. I love my weekdays, too, even if that means, lesser time with hubby and my daughter. Why? Because, I get to have my "Me" time. I get to play online games, like Sims Social, which I'm so hooked to. I get to check my Facebook, emails, and myLot, too. On weekdays, I also get to watch my favorite soap operas from day till night. Oh well, I guess, there's much to enjoy life with, every single day. How about you, do you prefer only the weekends, weekdays, or both?

Honestly, now that have read your post, I should be really thankful for having my time either on weekdays or weekends. Coz weekdays could be pretty hectic as soon as I get up at 4am. I just have my "ME" time for only 4 hours. And yes, weekdays are probably the best coz all my kids are at home and I do not need to wake up early!

I think you meant weekends on your last line. I like that about weekends, too, because I don't have to prepare too early for my daughter to go to sleep. And, my husband also helps in preparing for food, and other things.

Ooops! yeah, my mistake...sorry! I did mean weekdays. I was actually tired yesterday but was pushing myself to go online.

I love both, just like you. However, weekend is more fun and have time with my love ones too! I worked from 9am till 6pm on weekdays. That's means I got to wake up early and with the traffic jam, reaching home evening and hardly got time to do my other favorite activities. Workday is wonderful because I can meet my colleagues and do my work and earn money $$$. Weekend can go to the mall, shopping, watch movies and outings! To me, as long as we have a new day full of hope, joy, love and wonderful surprises ... everyday is beautiful and wonderful!

I totally agree with you, Iriene. I guess even scavengers and beggars have something to be thankful for, everyday. Even if it means another struggle to survive for them, they still get up on their feet and do their dailies.

Hi, I work at an agency five times a week. It is just a few minutes away from my house needing no transportation and the hectic rising up early every morning though I like weekends and holidays when I can stay up late to wake up late too. Sometimes, I am more busy at home than at work with the myriad repair and maintenance jobs around the house that I undertook personally like repairing that leaky roof, installing plumbing and electrical systems, repairing the leaky faucet and just about everything I can lay my hands on. I am a sort of a handyman around the house, taking the trouble to purchase tools I may be able to use then. Thus, I tell my colleagues not to to drop by or call me at home for I more busy then than at the office.

Oh, that sounds interesting. I loved to do general cleaning in the house during weekends, when I used to work and don't have kids yet. This time, there's too many things sharing my time and attention, so, cleaning the house feels like a burden already. My husband also told me he is a handyman back in their family house, but I never say him do anything like that since we married. He got too busy, and would rather use the free time resting.

I love weekends because I get to be "Me" all day long. During weekdays it is full of works except in the evening.

Don't you spend your weekends with special someone or family? What do you love to do on weekends?

I like both as well, same as you. But if you have to asked me what I really like... is I really like when hubby is home and don't need to report to work. Having hubby around means I have someone to asks to get stuff for me while I do other things. I don't like it when hubby is not around.

That's so true, I sometimes wish that husband just stays at home with us. However, I'd come to my senses later on, and realize that we need him to go to work, otherwise, we'd have nothing to enjoy the home with.

Yes, when raising kids, weekends are like wild whirlwinds. That is the way I felt when I was raising kids. Wild whirlwind weekends. There was so much to do on weekends and then try to fit the whole family into all that needed to be done on the weekends - well, it was just crazy sometimes. I did find that I had to fit my 'me' time in during the week. I had a mom's night out which was on a Tuesday night. We would go to a cafe and just chat over coffee and dessert. Because for all of us moms - weekends were for our own families.

Wow, mom's night out sounds cool. It must be really enjoying to share each other's stories of their motherhood and their partners. It's just that, most of my friends are either not yet married or, don't have kids. I do enjoy chatting with mom friends on FB. We just can't get together because they're in a different place.

I like weekends and the Holidays so I can spend more time with the family and maybe even a bit of extra time online because I don't have to do so much running around for everyone.
