I thought I'm content with just one operating system before but today is a different story. There's a lot of free software today that you can use to aid you in some problems that is very hard to solve. The good things about having two OS in your computer are you can able to solve or repair some errors or bugs that can't be solve with the other OS, like what I'd experienced before which I can't format my NTFS system when I'm trying to install Windows 8, the error said that the hard disk can't be formatted and it have problems, this is were I got the idea to solve it using the live disk of Ubuntu and it worked! I formatted the disk using it and made two partitions. This is only one of the benefits using Linux system in your computer were you can able to solve things that you can't in Windows. I'm using Ubuntu as my second OS and Windows 8 is the first, I love having the two, the distro is free anyway so that makes it really good. There's a lot of advantages of having two operating system at a time inside your computer, if you know a little bit about partitioning and installing OS then you can do it on your own laptop and reap the benefits. So what else do you think that benefits you using two OS or what things can be done to Linux system that can't using Windows(or reverse question)?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well it is great to know that u have been using two OS and the advantage of using two OS would be that u can get rid of errors as one would counteract the issues of others. I have been using Windows 8 OS and have never thought of using another one with it simultaneously, may be if i get a new laptop then i might think of having both OS in my laptop. What say?

Actually you don't need to install any Linux distros to your computer if you need to fix or solve some problems that can't with windows, you can just run it in as live disk. But if your just like me who love to browse things then you will surely discover many advantages of Linux system to windows but of course windows also have advantages to Linux system, that's why I having the two in my computer. I'm still discovering Ubuntu, what I like about it is the apps called rakarrack, if you love music then you will appreciate it and will stay in this OS for sure, the good thing about this was it is free, I'm using it a lot because I love music and I'm practicing my skills in guitar playing. One good thing having a Linux system beside you was you can able to delete virus folder that you can't delete in Windows. I was have this problem before and then my classmate discovered it and told us to erase it using Linux, that time we're trying to delete the file in Avast but it can't, the virus always show again. And then we tried the suggestion and it worked. If you are planning to be in dual boot, be careful in installing, if you're not that use in doing this thing I'm suggesting you to read some important guidance before proceeding to install two OS. Anyway, God Bless you...
