I am only 30 years old and this happened when I was 27. From the age of 27-28 I was applying for an amazing job opportunity that comes up every year in my field of work. It was a conservation project that took place for 6 months in Antarctica. They were doing conservation on the old huts and artifacts from the explorers like Scott. Anyway I applied three times and was told I was too old to go. Really I was 27. They wanted people fresh out of college. I would of loved to have that experience. I don't think that was really fair. I thought it was illegal to judge on age for a job.

that is so sad that they denied you the opporunity to go on a really exciting trip and as for being illegal i think that you are right i didnt think that they could discriminate against people's age. I have a similar story i went back to college and asked to do an apprentiship in engineering and i was told i was to old, i was 23 when this happened.

That is really unfair and sadly jobs get away with things like this all the time.
