I find this happens to me all the time. Something I tend to do it look for a trend in the thing that I dislike in the broadest strokes. It's often the thing I just happen to understand the least. I've done it a couple times and each time I've come away with some really interesting learning experiences, even if they aren't very successful. I'll give you an example. I used to have a grudge against skateboards, i went to a high school in the middle of a cornfield, so my introduction to skateboarding was a bunch of kids standing parking lot, just kind of trying to get the things to jump up and down. It was really lame, also I sucked at it. Years later I moved into a city on the other side of the country that had been paved but was also rather hilly. When I first got their I was all "this is dumb, stupid people on longboards." Yet it looked like so, so i tough myself how to zoom around on one, down the board walk and sutff. It's great fun. A bit random i know but hey, it's true.
