What's with advertisement these days?

Is it just me who gets those annoying adverts on Facebook now? I mean, seriously, they are all over EVERY page!! It's the same with Twitter but that's not as bad. I wouldn't mind, but motst of these advertisements don't even interest me,and I'm pretty sure not many others are interested. I know Facebook gets paid for having theadverts etc etc etc... But I really find them pointless. . . . . . Just saying :P
