Do you get disappointed when you get only 1 or 2 responses

India

Sometimes we start a discussion, we think, is quite interesting which should garner a lot of responses and make that discussion a grand success. But you end up with getting 1 or 2 responses and than you start pondering what when wrong. There are lot of discussion, you know from the start, this is not going to fetch me many responses, so getting less responses is OK with you but when you start something unique and interesting, and it doesn't work, do you get pissed? The more you fetch, chances of earning more is always there.

You don't have to only comment back on your own discussions. You can always go back to the other discussions which you have responded to and add in further comments to further the discussions.

See in this discussion, I was thinking I'll not get many responses but I got tremendous amount of response. Bad discussion with great response can soothe your disappointment of less response for your interesting discussion.

when I was a newbie yes b ut I have five years experience and I never get less than 20 usually. Write from y ou own life and you cannot go wrong as we all are humans and though we come from all over the world we all have some things in common like families, jobs, problems with our marriage, problems with our kids, name it and some of us will respond..Now If i get only ten I am disappointed but I have had a lot of experience too.Remember you do not get paid for our responses we get paid. If you comment back on all the responses you get paid and paid very well.

Yes Hatley is damn right. She has gone through all the response on this discussion and has written good responses. ? Hatley, I have seen your profile and your age is 87. My God, you are vastly experience in real life along with my lot. This I have learned from you that we get paid for commenting back and not for the no. of responses. I think 56,000 is a massive and I don't think that I can ever get to that no. My lot is not famous in India, so this site is not ban in our office as do others sites. So I can use my lot in free time in my office.

There is only rare when you don't get even a single response. But I wonder, there are some guys who get more than 25 responses for every discussion. These are the guys who easily make $15 per month. Happy New Year to you.

Nope, I don't get dissapointed any more! I might have felt this at first but now I appreciate every single quality response and don't really look at the quantity! I have to say that when I get a lot of responses it is hard to keep up because I want to comment to everyone back individually, without ending up writing similar comments to everyone! So if I get my response in 1 comment then it is enough for me! But if I haven't solved my question yet I am waiting for more! Lol

I think only starters get disappointed here for not getting response. Once you get experienced, you know the psyche of people all round the world. So automatically they know which discussion has universal appeal. What's your say besweet.

Well, its very much luck and also a number of other factors that guide as to how many responses we routinely get for the discussions we start. At times, even average discussions get a lot more responses than a well thought out and good discussion.

At first I was dissappointed. As if, I'm just not making sense at all. But now, things changed. I'm more aware about the uniqueness of each person (e.g. individuality of thoughts and disposition)Either they will buy it or not. That's why I'm doing my best to start and think of captivating and debatable discussions. Thanks

But Facebook are considered as only comments, whereas here we are discussing. There is a difference. And we get paid here for responding and posting comments, but sadly, not on Facebook.
• India
12 Jan 13
Yes, starters do struggles here especially if they are coming from facebook. In facebook, you can easily get more than 30 responses because friends on face book are your real friends as well. Here in mylot you have to have universal topic which is interesting and can be debatable as well(as you said). Slowly and steadily every body learn and they earn more and more as they become experience.

I don’t really mind if I got a few or more responses to discussions, what’s important is that I take activities over the site regardless if it’s posting or commenting to discussions. As long as I had shared some thoughts/views on certain subjects that I am interested in, I am satisfied with it. Regardless if it has more or less responses, I don’t feel disappointed on it.

Hi heaytheblogger. You and I think alike. I very seldom start discussions and I would prefer to respond to others' discussions. It's the activity that counts here on myLot.
• India
14 Jan 13
Yes, it's the activity that counts. But if you gets a lot of responses, than you can simply write responses back and your job for the day is done. It's easy and you don't have to navigate in other discussion.

Hi! I get good number of responses. Number of responses depends upon various factors and it varies with each and every discussion. I used to feel bad when I was a green horn here but since then I've come a long way and have never seen back.

ofcourse! I'm disappointed when watches low responses of discussion but can you always notice one thing??? If you keeps checking s "There is Response or not" you feels you got very less responses, But If you makes discussion & leave it & checkout after 12-18 hours WOW! you see lot of responses came to you...So My advice for newbies is not to run for Responses just keeps start unique discussion & leave them up...have a nice day...

You have to wait 24 hours to see the maximum responses because mylot is spread across the globe. Due to time difference, you have to wait nearly a whole day to let other people see your discussion. After 24 hours, you will not see any responses added to your discussion.

Don't be disappointed. Maybe it is not that reason. It could be that not many myLotters noticed your discussion. Add more friends so that when you post a discussion, a notification will be sent to them in their inbox, then more friends would notice it.

Of course I won't! It happened sometimes that no one interested to respond your discussion. Or maybe all of your friend didn't activate their myLot notification. So far in my experience here, I got a minimum of 5 responses in all of my discussions. I am thankful to members who give effort to respond. With that I always comment back to them.

I have done this a few times and it gets a little frustrating at times but it doesn't stop me from still trying. I love to get on and see Many responses and sometimes it'll take longer to reply back to them all but like you said it gives you mo're chances of earning. I also agree with the above comment any response is better than no response. there really is no point in getting upset or pissed because you really can't do anything about it but it is a little discouraging. but it makes me more determined to make better ones for everyone good luck I hope you get many responses to your discussions

@anilhclites Put it this way. The members responding to your discussions are like people talking to you in persons. How would you feel if when you talk to someone and that person standing in front of you just ignores you and does not give you a reply? Hopefully this would give you some encouragement to comment back to the responses you get in your discussions.

Rightly said, we have to reply them and I write back with a lot of interests. This help in extending the conversation which eventually helps both of us to earn good. Actually in my lot, we are involved in each other success.

When you get a lot of responses, the only worry is that it's our duty to reply to every one and that is very tiresome. The whole time is utilised in replying and we do not get any time to respond to others discussions. Happy New Year to you.

Of course dear, but I think that shows the quality and the importance who people see in our discussion; may be the quality is good, but there's no public for it. I think that there must be something or somebody for each discussion, we must just wait for it. I remember once that I made a discussion and a few of people participated, then, after a lot of months, I received more post, may be because there was somebody else interested in. So my advice would be don't worry, we must find a good way to enjoy here . Have a nice day

I just do my best at starting discussion, and if I don't get but a few responses, then, it has to be in the fact, that it just wasn't interesting enough for most users to respond to it. I just go on, and not worry about it, and hopefully, the next discussion will get more responses. I am not here to get all the responses i can anyway, as I am here just for fun, and the learning I have received here is great. Take care, and have fun.

If more responses means more earning is not true but if getting more responses and you are giving the comments on every responses then getting money. Hi surekha Sometimes it is not that myLotters' don't like your discussions but it could be that they don't have the answers to the questions that you seek. If more responses means more earning is not true You are right! We all don't have to just comment back on the responses we get on our discussions in order to earn. We also earn by responding and commenting on others' discussions.

I've tried that too in one of my discussions, I thought it would garner a lot of responses but I was wrong, you see I out it under a wrong interest and I didn't notice, when I saw it, that's when I realized why. I didn't want to repeat the discussion on the other interest and I couldn't delete the first one. So. :( I just left it alone. XD it's okay though, I only earn from what I type myself. Sure it would feel like a waste cause you'd be interested in responding to your own discussions. But better luck next time. :D

for sometime yes but not too much disappointment, Actually I haven't have so much responses from my started discussion but I guess we just have to share things since it's not only the number of responses that we are looking forward but also each ideas of the lotters being shared and we also learn from them But it will be so much plus thing if we get a lot of responses and there are different discussion opened and it broadens the ideas from the discussion you started with that makes sense, right? getting the majorities interest and favors just you have right now. ha ha it's not that bad after all
